one of my friends said shes considering asking a guy out and i realized id never even really thought about it, i mean i guess i just feel like a guy should have the confidence to ask? i guess im old fashioned, whats the guys point of view?

well usually if the guy doesnt ask he isnt interested. i mean within a reasonable amount of time that is

def. no problem with it. maybe the guy is interested but doesn't know if the girl is. it can work either way.

There are a lot of good guys out there, that just don't have the courage to ask a girl out. People that seem shy aren't really, they just don't think any girl would want anything to do with them. When they find a girl, they can really make her feel special.

i girl asking a guy out on a date? well, tonight i must just eat my stake with a spoon.

why the hell not? a girl has asked me out before, doesnt really matter in my opinion.

yea, if a girl asks a guy out, he'll be pretty pumped whether he likes her or not. it's not real common, but it's sick when it happens. tell her go for it. even if the dude doesn't like her, it'll be a nice gesture

yeah it's pretty flattering, i liked it, made me feel like "oh she likes me enough to break the mold"

I would really like it if a girl asked me out, considering I don't have the balls to do it myself :(

so you wont go out with a guy cuz he likes you so much that he's too nervous to ask you out? or maybe he cant tell if you're playin hard to get or just don't like him or something. I think a girl should feel fine about asking a guy out, it'd catch me off guard I'd imagine, but in a good way unless it's a girl I reallly dont like.

ive been asked out on dates, i was even asked to prom... as long as your not some random person its not weird its a really nice compliment, she should go for it

My girlfriend asked me out, our first date was to hit the slopes, that was a year and a half ago. Worked for me.

You've got that exactly right. I was fortunate enough to find a girl like that, if only everyone else was as lucky. Nothing like ripping up the slopes with the same person well you know...

^ha that made me chuckle. yeah it's cool for a girl to ask a guy out, definitely a welcome way to shake things up, but it should be the exception to the rule, i think, rather than the norm. what i mean is, it nice when a girl is at least a little patient with a guy...gives him a chance to go for it. it's a little bit of an accomplishment for him.

At the same time, its nice to get away from the wifey and shred gnar and smoke mad dubs while chanting naughty things on the chair lift. Just saying...

yup

ive done that once

and ive also asked the guy to prom

but i usually wait around for the guy to do it first

im old fashioned..

its good but its usually somebody you dont really want to go out with, but sometimes it is which is sick. forward girls are the shit either way

I think it is very flattering to be asked out by a girl personally....so do it girls...take some of the pressure off the guys.....

Yes, because equal treatment only applies to things that aren't inconvenient! Chivalry died a long time ago ladies, quit waiting around and ask.

Yeah, that happened to me a couple of days ago and it was really awkward cause I said no and we are in classes together and shes a complete bitch. I wouldn't mind if random hot/interesting girls just asked me out, but if shit like this is gonna happen I'd rather just do it myself.

so if you liked a guy snowbunny1, just because your a girl you wouldnt ask him out assuming that its his responsibility to ask you out? therefore missing out on the opportunity with some possibly great guy just because you had to much diginity to go against your beliefs?

Agreed, I have not got the guts to ask a girl out, yet I can be friends with them.

I like one girl but I have no idea how she feels about me, that is my only problem, if she shuts me down, well ouch... If she doesn't, well that's pretty cool.

Anyway, if a girl really likes a guy, I don't think the guy would mind if she asked him out.
