GIANTS WON NL WEST!!!!

I'm very excited about this, because it means that my AP comparative government teacher will be too hung over to grade our presentations on friday well at all, given the game thursday night.

WOOOOOOO is right! I wasn't able to watch the game because every bar in mammoth's mlbtv package had it blocked out, so I had to suffice with sportscenter. But nonetheless, go Giants!

hell yeah!! stoked to see the Giants making such a comeback. I didn't think they were gonna make it this year by any means. good thing the padres fucked up! :D

I think they will make it until they have to face the Philies. No one is beating phily.

so stoked! i have a feeling this is our world series season! as long as we dont screw up on pitching like the last time we should be solid!!

Hahaha.

Giants. World Series.

^old photo is TRUE.

and? 1 game does not a series make lol.

This isn't football homie. How many times have I seen a team win game one and lose a series? countless.

TL cant throw every game... you guys get one run in a series

You have not seen it many times. Game one winners win the series over 78% of the time. Plus the Atlanta line-up is terrible. Lets go Giants.

I've seen it happen a bunch of times with a 2-0 advantage. even in a 5 game series...

It happens, homie. lol.

Regardless... even if the Giants DO beat Atlanta, They'll get asses handed to them by the Phillies, who have both great pitching, AND solid offense - something the Giants do not have, being a 1 dimensional - Oakland A's copycat team.

The current play-off system has been the way it is for 30 years with the division series. There have been only 14(out of 120) teams have ever come back from 0-1. Only 4 teams in that 30 years have ever come back from 0-2, all of which were AL teams. Just so you know...

Yep. And at least 3? of them have happened in the last like... 5 years? least 3? of them against My A's. LOL.
With the parity in the NL, its only a matter of time for that percentage to start evening out.

So a man was walking through the woods one day when he stumbled upon a wizard.
The wizard explained to the the man that he would grant him any wish he desired. After thinking for a second the man responded, "I want to live forever", to which the wizard replied, "Sorry, that is the one wish I cannot grant you, but because you have come all this way I will let you wish again"
After thinking for a few minutes the man proclaimed his wish. He told the wizard "Fine then, I wish to die when the Giants win the world series"
The wizard is surprised by his odd request but grants him it anyways.
After thinking for a few seconds the wizard says to the man "You tricky bastard!"

My prediction, Tim has the better outing Saturday, but the Giants lose after he is not pitching, and they will win at least 2 games.

My bet is for several pitchers duals, but the Phillies' better offense comes out on top in 5-6 games.

I'm thinking that Timmy L will have a poor outing, and the Giants will get strong outings from 2 other players, instead.

I'm thinking we beat the Phillies and make it to the world series. And then win it. In which case that guy that Sean told the story about will die. Not so tricky now..

We hope.
He goes to the 7-11 near my house.
I saw him riding down the hill in the middle of the street on his orange and black bike. Walked into 7-11. 3 AM. Stoned.

except last time they had to play in Aneheim and not at home. and dusty baker made a terrible pitching decision. timmy vs holloday. gonna be epic and the giants are taking it tonight!!

1990 was 20 years ago right? So 1. How many world series to the Giants have EVER? (dont count New York - becuase then I'll count Philadelphia ;)
Either way. If anything, i'm happy that someone will win a world series for the first time.. instead of for a 27th.
By the way, what was with the bullshit bench clearing tonight? That was bullcrap...
if youre going to clear a bench... there better be some punches thrown... baseball players not named Jason Kendall are little bitches...

Meh.
I half agree with this statement.
But its the Giants, and its the first time In like, 8 years(?) that they're going to the series? I'd be stoked too.
