Getting my toenail fixed, how long till I can ski?

I'm getting my ingrown toenail fixed and I was wondering how long you guys had to wait until you could ski again?

If you're getting the cotton-swab-cauterisering-liquid style procedure: wait 'til the sound of it spinning and twisting inside your toe stops playing inside your head, and when you stop grinding your teeth afterwards.

Then you should be good to go.

Please don't ever say something is "gucci" again.

You sound like a fuckin' retard.

I got nail bed removed cause I had an ingrown. For me I did it in summer, but I'd would've taken me 1-2 weeks to ski and it'd hurt still

Fuck that shit. Just bandage/tape up your toe, take a few advil and youll be fine. I played in a football game in high school the day after getting surgery on an ingrown toenail. They gave me so much Novocain that i could even feel my toe for 1-2 days anyway

i knocked my big toe nail off (which happened to be ingrown, actually worked out pretty well) last year on the first day. never took any time off, just wrapped it and taped it when it was about to fall off so it didnt get hit again, and pushed through it.

really its whenever you are comfortable skiing on it again

When I got that little surgery done it was late spring so I wasn't skiing anyway, but in my experience I bet I could've skied the next day. The toe had a little wrap bandage on it but I didn't have any pain whatsoever. The worst part of the whole thing was the injection they gave to numb the toe before the surgery, that actually burned quite a bit.

Might not be the best idea to send it super hard until it's healed, but skiing mellowly should be fine. But based on the responses in this thread, it looks like it kinda varies from person to person. Just keep in mind what your doctor says and see how you're feeling.
