German cars only thread

Same could be said about Lambo's and Ferrari's...

I think the engineering behind it is crazy. The fact that they can fit a W12, even being mid-engine, inside a tiny GTI is pretty astonishing. Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the looks (besides the wide body)but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to own a 12 cylinder gti...

Mercedes still uses a v12 (S65, SL65, G65). It was my understanding that Mercedes and BMW went to turbo'd v8's and v6's because of tightening Euro emissions standards, not because of engine problems.

but seriously i havent bought anything yet and im still looking at other possibilities

well first ill make sure he still has it, but ill grab some pics and a price from him and toss you a pm as soon as i find out

Does it have any mods? If not, buy a downpipe, intake, and high pressure fuel pump, then buy UM's "stage 2" tune. 320 WHP for a couple thousand bucks.

Shit, even if it's stock, you can just throw on the UM "stage 1" tune for $550 and make 270 at the wheels.

Oh, and blue is the fastest color, so you better get a blue one.

Dads got the typical white 328xi. Probably going to buy it off him in a year or two. But what I really want when I get out of college is...

If everything i have planned for my college career and actual profession go through, i'll be able to afford an M5 2-3 years out.

Not too stoked on having to fix my winshield wipers, rear hatch, and doing an oil change but I guess that's just one of the perks of owning a German car. At least it gives me an excuse to do the rear windshield wiper delete I've been putting off.

God I miss racing on the nurburgring and seeing all those cars all day long. That place is nothing but short of heaven. Two years was not enough time spent there, and the things I would do to go back!

what do yo guys think of getting a used a4 quatro? having it potentially need costly service is freaking me out a little but I'm not sure if thats over hyped? what are your guys experiences?

this may make some of you guys die on the inside. i cant even imagine the oversteer. not sure if this is justifiable or just a debauchery of a nice car

KILLA BEES

other than the lack of tailgate and ridiculously styled interior, it at least appears to have been built pretty well. not too much technical info on the car, apparently its good for 282bhp and it started life as a regular 1993 E92 M3. was up for sale in Germany for ~$16,000 not too long ago
