Im Indifferent about this. Im straight and whether you're gay straight bi lesbian, whatever doesn't affect me. I don't really have an opinion and I don't support it nor am I against it. Do what makes you happy without forcing things down my throat.

However, I've been bitched out because I didn't have an opinion by gay people saying that I had to accept it and if I didn't accept it then I was a bigot and a racist. These kinds of people really piss me off and are super hypocritical and the reason why sometimes I view gays in a negative way. I have to accept you but you can't accept me for my opinion? Doesn't make any sense to me. At the same time I have a friend who's lesbian and she's really cool, doesnt force her views down my throat and does what makes her happy. So she's cool.

yeah i was just tossin a figure, but its still there. people do tend to be doushebags online because they can, i know i sound ignorant and its proably because i am, but if someone gets so worked up over a word, maybe NS or NSG at least isnt a place for them. theres a lot of stuff that gets said that you wouldnt say to your mom around here and thats basically what this site is about, internet trolls that ski and/or artistical geniuses and/or very good skiiers

I used to use "faggot" in the same way, but just because you're okay with using it in what you think is a non-gay bashing manner, doesn't mean everyone is. My gay friends are not okay with people using "faggot" as a derogatory term, and I completely understand why - it's got extremely negative connotations. I stopped saying it out of respect for them and I think everyone should.

Im sorry, but if i have kids one day, then, like my parents, i wont want them to end up gay. I realize that for most ppl it isnt a choice. But for some it is, and if it is for my kids, i hope that they are persuaded to become straight, and if a homophobic environment helps them choose to be straight, more power to it.

If my kids do turn out gay, ill still except them; we can cross that bridge if we have to.

but if i catch my kid spanking it to straight porn ill be happy.

Nobody wants their kids to be gay and if they say they dont care they are lying sacks of shit

I think it's fucked up that young people are talking about how they're going to force "straightness" upon their kid when they have no idea what it feels like to have a child of their own. From all I've heard, read, and learned, having a kid or kids is the most profoundly life changing event - you go from living for yourself and maybe someone else to utterly responsible for the life of a helpless, wonderful person you half created.

in his defence he did say that if they turn out to be gay he will still accept them, but the idea of raising them in a homophobic environment to keep them straight is a bit ridiculous. It is sort of like raising your kid in a racist household so they marry inside your race, it may work, but the negative side effects(like being racist or homophobic) is not worth the possible "benefit", or at least in my mind it isn't

i will say though i see nothing more wrong with wanting your son to turn out straight, than wanting a son instead of a daughter or vice versa. This is of course assuming you will love them the same regardless of how they turn out and support them regardless of their decisions.

To say that gay people have the same marriage rights as straight people because they can just go off and marry a person of the opposite sex makes absolutely no sense, and I can't even fathom how you thought that up and thought, "that makes a lot of sense!". The fact is straight people can marry the person they want to, while gays can not. That's all there is to it, it doesnt matter that they legally could marry a woman still, because they don't want to.

The fact of the matter is everybody has exactly equal marriage rights. Just because somebody wants to do something that's prohibited doesn't mean they're being discriminated against. Raising a kid in a homophobic environment won't stop them from being gay or make them straight. Your either going to have a straight kid who's a bigoted shit stain or a gay kid who thinks his/her own parents resent them.
