Full tilt boots?

Last year i had my kryptons shaved out to where u could see the light through the plactic (as far as you could possibly shave them and they were still way too narrow for my feet.

^ no matter what boot you have that should be done,

without customization any boot that is comfortable wont fit tight enough to get a good responsive feel,

full tilts are really nice though, definatly super tweakable

another option is to actually stretch the plastic itself using a ball and cup. However the raichle boots do not respond well to heat so it is really not the desired method, same with touring boots, I guess they use softer density plastics. Cos it works a treat on modern 4 buckle boot, or any of the krypton series.

That's true fore Raiches, not for full tilts. You're right, the old raichles used a nylon plastic, which didn't punch well. The Full Tilts redid the molds so they now uses polyethelene, the same plastic used in all the four buckle and krypton boots. It punches really well.

from what i remember doug you usually skied in a salomon or head boot correct? DON'T CHANGE!

if you got a wide foot, any boot tech should be able to either grind or stretch the plastic to fit your foot

I am now alot more interested in the full tilt boots, the fact that you can punch them, would make it possible for them to fit my footshape. I am going to have to try on a pair this winter.

Does anyone know how narrow the last is in mm of the full tilt?

I have wideass feet, I use Head S12's from a few years ago. I'm actually getting them punched out right now, otherwise I have to unbuckle my boots every lift ride and im sick of doing that.

Function > form

Or just get the kryptons. They are essentially the same type of design and general structure.

98 i think, altho the base model maybe 99. just go try them on, its much smarter than trying to map out if its gonna fit by everyones suggestions

This is what their coolest boot look like this season check it out:

With the Intuition liner in the FT Boot the boot will actually fit a wider foot than that of the original Flexon. Same mold but different plastic and different liner. The new liner is a heat moldable liner that you just use a chimney style heater for as where the old boots you were putting the liner in the oven. I typicallly wear a wider boot liek and SPK, but even my wider foot was able to get into a Full Tilt with out needing any modifications. You would be very surprised at how wide a foot this boot would actually fit once the liner was molded.

I am going to be working this season as a bootfitter in france and can't wait to get my hands on a pair. If I can proform em I'm going to be so stoked. As the store i'll be working in are going to be carrying them. It seems like a great boot for skinny people like me who simply can't flex the stiffer performance boots also I hear its low volume in the cuff too.

I just proformed a pair of konflicts, and also some of the camo tongues, which are a bit softer. I'm excited to try these out because shin bang has been one of my biggest issues. I wear shintronics with my regular boots, and it helps, but everything behind the full tilt/ flexon concept makes sense to me. By getting this boot you can have stiff side to side motion, which is amazing for edging, and a softer and more natural foreward flex. Being that we aren't on race skis, loading the tip up isn't the most essential point when turning. However if i feel the need to ski that way, just swap tongues out. And I still get a better flex. Think about it, if the buckle system was so good for you, snowboard boots would be using it, instead they have lighter, more natural feeling boots, that still have amazing control. I think this is why the cable system, as opposed to buckles, will make the boots feel more natural, it looks old school, and it is old school, but it just seems to make sense. And with the new improved liners, this boot has me more stoked than before. I'll get them in a week or two just in time for first turns, and I'll let you guys know how they work.

BUMP

I am thinking about throwing down $599 for these, they sound amazing. Light, comfy and functional. I like the old school look of them too. Anyone else have experience riding these? I think Giray Dadali rocked em last yr, holla back man.

Should be picking mine up from the rep tomorrow night! Soooo stoked. Will take some pics of whatever I end up with. (Not sure which pair hes gettin' me yet)
