I just proformed a pair of konflicts, and also some of the camo tongues, which are a bit softer. I'm excited to try these out because shin bang has been one of my biggest issues. I wear shintronics with my regular boots, and it helps, but everything behind the full tilt/ flexon concept makes sense to me. By getting this boot you can have stiff side to side motion, which is amazing for edging, and a softer and more natural foreward flex. Being that we aren't on race skis, loading the tip up isn't the most essential point when turning. However if i feel the need to ski that way, just swap tongues out. And I still get a better flex. Think about it, if the buckle system was so good for you, snowboard boots would be using it, instead they have lighter, more natural feeling boots, that still have amazing control. I think this is why the cable system, as opposed to buckles, will make the boots feel more natural, it looks old school, and it is old school, but it just seems to make sense. And with the new improved liners, this boot has me more stoked than before. I'll get them in a week or two just in time for first turns, and I'll let you guys know how they work.
