Funny how conservatives bitch when Obama passes a $940 billion bill reforming health care, but not a peep when Bush passes a $787 billion free pass for banks that fucked up and got caught.

If tanning beds are in any bit good for you, as in vitamin D therapy, then their principal users would be of all races. But to take the point that the principal users of tanning beds are using it for superficial reasons takes the above argument away.

Also, there are other fair skin races, that are not Caucasians.

while i do think the tax bullshit, my opposition to the tax would not be rooted so shallowly in race. more along the lines of government intervention, and just plain bullshit.

If people are dumb enough to use tanning beds they should be taxed. Especially since natural selection doesnt work anymore.
 
possibly, but it could be like here in quebec or canada, where they're talking about making flavored cigarettes illegal to lessen the desire of minors to start smoking. (i think they're still legal). especially since california will vote on legalizing marijuana in november.
 
Hey idiots they made flavored cig's illegal...such as Cloves etc because they felt as though it was advertised towards children..which is pretty stupid
If they made flavored tobacco products illegal dont you think we would have heard about a rebellion in the south because that means that Dip would be illegal

obama doesnt give a fuck, he was way too much on his plate. He doesn't even seem concerned that we are in the middle of WAR. Obama will drink and smoke his troubles away then blame it on bush in the morning.

i doubt you supported the botax, which was the original tanning tax, but can you see how the basis of the original tax is on more legitimate grounds?

It was the plastic surgeon lobby which came in and paid to change the tax. Where you see government intervention, I see corporate... I mean i also see two legitimate taxes, but that's something else.
 
i wouldnt support a tax on botox. in the same way i dont like the idea of a tanning tax.
politics is a dirty game. its a shame tanning people dont have a lobby. lol

what about a ski equipment tax? i kinda like the idea of that one. afterall our knees are pretty much fucked from skiing, so lets have say an extra 10-20% tax on ski gear to make up for the added burden many of us will become with bum knees ;)
snowboarding gets it too, talk to any ski patroler, the number of wrist injuries is astounding ;)

it would be interesting to conduct a study of what this does to tanning facilities over the next few years.
 
well, i'd have to say roughly, that the majority of people who tan and or get botox have a lot of extra money floating around, so. i don't see them losing any clients.
 
so lets levy a tax against the ski industry. the majority of people who ski have a great deal of liquid income. so they wouldnt be hurt by it.
lets also levy a taxes against Yachts also. (look what George Bush did with that)

peoples actions ARE manipulated through taxes. if you dont believe that, im sorry.

besides just because people have the ability to pay doesnt mean they should. from each according to his abilities to each according to his needs?
 
lets be honest. the only reason republicans are worked up about the tanning tax is because john boehner is going to go bankrupt over it :)

He meant the National Debt. You know, that couple hundred something-illions of dollars we owe China and a couple other countries.
 
My 100 dollar debt to my dad doesn't affect the NATIONAL DEBT though. National debt is the debt that the gov't runs up spending out their ass for stupid shit. Like $700 hammers for the Navy.
 
most people who have pre existing heath problems, terminally or chronically ill are broke from the old heath care system and wont be making any money any time soon
