We were hitting a river gap recently.. friend (snowboarder) came up about 3 feet short and slammed into the bank. about a 35ft gap. here's some pictures.

how about any of you? any good stories/pics of some quality injuries?

thats rough dude my friend broke his wrist overshooting this year and it was disgusting. the bone was almost coming out of the skin and the doctor had to yank his arm out to reset it. i ll try and get some x rays later. he had to get surgery and ended up getting a metal plate on the bone.

i'm not gonna lie. that's quite close to what he was saying... more like "ahhhh fuck. my arm. my FUCKING arm. it's broken. get me out of here!" (i jumped in the river for him so we both were a little chilly and wet). started like hyperventalating and stuff. i had to walk him about 1/4 mile back through 3 feet of snow to the car. can't imagine what it felt like for him

look at my pictures for better photo but basically broke my collarbone in 3 places, this is the best looking x-ray i need to get some the others so you can see the bones just floating in my shoulder.....moral of story-when you land backseat on dubs, dont put your hand down

i just asked for mine. and keeping with gnarly xrays, here you are(although that fucking robot leg was way crazy)

dude all these pictures in this thread are fucked up. like i didnt know some of these were humanly possible with out losing the bone.

Just a little tidbit. That contraption is called a Ilizarov External Fixator. It uses computer software to figure out how exactly to adjust the struts so it can align your bones and reduce the fracture while still allowing micromotion so the bones can heal and keep leg length equal

My collarbone is was not as bad as some of these, it was super close to compound fracturing though. Hurt like a bitch, I ended up having to get a plate and 7 screws in it which will be in there for the rest of my life.

Moments before my crash...

haha what % displacement was that. i di the exact same thing except the ball of me shoulder was in the socket, and my humorous was displaced 65% to the side. needed pins surgery you name. 3 days in hospital, had to wait a dayand a half for it to be fixed, worst pain ever.

My story:

I was skiing, and my friends and i wanted frontflip traon. bad idea. overshot and overrotated to me shoulder. but im almost better now which is ILL. i will post xray pics asap or as soon as i find them

word. my collarbone was like the same the xrays in here. it was really close to compound fracturing and i also have 7 screws and a plate in there for life.

i wish i still had it, it was pretty gnarly. all i did was break my tibula. it wasn't that bad of a break but my bone got dislocated and then did a 90 on me, so that made it a lot worse then it could have been.

broken tibia spiral fracture in 27 places ill get pictures up once photobucket is done with their lame ass maintenence

No pics or anything, couple years ago, while mountain biking, I fell off a build. Tore the ligement that holds the ulna to the carpal bones in the wrist. End result is I did end up going for surgury. Came out of the hospital with 2 pins through both my ulna and radius. Plus a plate holding the two arm bones together. In the end, the surgury was a failure. So my ulna isn't in place and moves up and down (top of hand to palm direction)

Bro WTF I can't even tell what it is
I've never broke a bone and this thread scares the shit out of me

breaking collar bones suck dick. no matter what you move it always hurts. i broke my three times. i wish i had my xrays. the first time the bone broke in 2 places then spun an end over end 180.

I bet that felt good ripping out of a ski boot :D
Non like you boys, both collar bones, most finger and a couple toes. Broke my fore arm in the middle of it but i never got my xray pics? Nose a couple times too...
