Friend broke wrist hitting a river gap. *beware.. it's icky*

I was going really fast switch, went to come around cot a edge did a flip snapped my arm right in haft.

I almost died cause I just about cut my major artery.

but the upside of this is when people ask what happened I come up with a crazy story like I wrestled a lion and won

This was earlier this year. here is the pre surgury pic. It was 1/16th of an inch from popping through the skin

i thought the title said "beware... it's clicky" and you were going to post a .GIF of your arm breaking... hhaha, that would've been awsome :)

Fucking hell... I have cringed the entire time I've read this thread.
I got some funny injury stories, not related to skiing though...
In high school we set up the sofas in our senior lounge to make a square, and we put all the cushions in the middle. Anyhow.. I overshot the jump and went head first into the front of one of the sofas. Broke and fractured my nose, was pretty fucking funny.
Other time... friend took my juice box so I went to run after him, got within kicking distance. SO I went to kick him and.. my left knee just dislocated.

Ya....

drew brees had a similar injury, and it is the most disgusting thing ive ever seen, youtube it, it makes you want to cry.

damn, after seeing all lthe photos I've come to the conclusion that....

skiers and snowboarders are badass mother fuckers!!

friend of mine fell asleep at the wheel while driving home in his snowboard boots... this is his leg

explanation of the last image: "When they inserted the titanium rods in the lower part of my leg, the pressure grew way too much and they had to make two incisions on either side of my calf. they closed up the inner part and after a coulple tries they decided they couldnt close up the outer side...what they had to do is take some skin from my upper thigh and use it to close up the calf and this is what the skin graft looks like at the time being, soon enough this hole will close up 90 % but and wont look too much different then my regular skin but will look a little different....yumm"

this happened last spring and he has been on slopes since the beginning of this season

bout to trump u all as far as wrist x-rays/injurys. wtf u know bout that. give me K

haha jk. i feel u bro!!! shit is wack, at lest u can still ski with an arm cast!!!!!!!!

this thread is getting gnarlier by the page. haha.
not a skiing story, but pretty messed up. when i was little (like 4-ish) i was at a friends birthday party, and we were all going down the little zipline at my friends house. a mutual friend off ours fell of the zipline, and broke his arm so the bone was sticking out. wouldn't have been that bad, but the parent watching us thought the bone was a stick stuck in his arm and proceeded to attempt to yank the "stick" from my friends arm. needless to say my friends arm was fucked for a while, and there is a 3/4 inch thick scar the entire length of his arm from where his bone was almost pulled out.

thats a friend of mine. he fell asleep driving home from the mountain last year and clipped a truck between the bed and the trailer hauling two snowmobiles.

Last seasons spring Tib/fib fracture that required a fasciotomy (pressure got to high in Gastrocnemius and it almost required a graft like the guy above had to get, but I lucked out).

Their Camera had bad color resolution, so no, my leg was not having circulatory issues
