Freakout demo is out

the controlls are a lill wacky, slow spins can be super jerky and the flips/corks are weird...would be cool if it was jibberish with better graphix

exactly. for all having the ddl problem go with this. if you didnt install it then go to microsoft.com or search direct x download on google

The grabs are a tad on the crap side, the spinning system is not too good either and the rails are there just for the challenges, damn.

I really thought this could have been good, if they improve it by 40% it'll be as good as Jibberish.

And what's up with the DIN setting of the skiers, every time you crash your skis and poles go fucking flying, why aren't they wearing their pole straps and why the fuck are they doing huge cliffdrops with their DINs on 3?!

It's a good timewaster on these icy days, though.

Yeah, the rotation system is kinda fucked on further review. And the grabs are.... repetitive. I want to be able to to 'Stretchies" with spins.

I've noticed that the characters in videogames usually aren't as smart as real humans. They sure do have the athletic edge on humans though.

with the exception of more variety of grabs, and lack of twisters, this game is surely waaaaaay better than jibberish, if you know how to control the rider. i.e. set a cork with your linconln loop button, then the spin system is the best thats out. overall, its awesome. oh yea, and i dont knopw if its just the first character, but he carves really wierd to the left side...

for the people with the .dll problems. You should be able to goto google and type i nthe dll name and you should be ale to downlaod it form a website. after you download it put it in the correct folder and your good.

It took a really long time for the installer to start up for me, I thought it was broken but it just needed a good few minutes after I clicked it. Also, I had to install the latest DirectX... not too big a deal.

For those of you who can't play and really want to see it, I recorded one of my runs and put it up on Video Google.. this was before I figured out how to press keys at the same time to do different tricks and before I realized this isn't like Jibberish and holding the jump key all the time makes you look like a retard. I tried to make the tricks pretty realistic for the most part, but the last one or two are sorta crazy.

Hmm.. think I just figured out how to do Kangaroo flips except without the Kang... this roll button is sick, I didn't even notice it when I was playing in that video. Figuring out how to do cool shit in this game is going to consume far too much of my life.

can you just do a mute, tail and a safety? and that signature grab? or can someone post all the combinations for the demo..

Those of you that are having the .dll issues are experiencing this problem for various reasons:

1 - Your PC is an old piece of man twat. You probably have a terrible - integrated dX 8.0 graphics "card" This game requires you to have dX 9.0.

2 - You do have a dX 9.0 video-card but it has been a LOOONG time since you upgraded the drivers for it. Upgrade them.

Mac user's.... just pop in an xp dual boot and you are set.

Game will be available for PS2, PSP and PC

ive always wondered but does it matter if i run or save? i saved freakout and i got the dll error so now im gonna download direct x but should i run or save?

This game is great. Levels could be a bit better I guess, but I have no real complaints as of now. Control scheme is pretty good considering its the first game to really incorporate three axis rotation. Fuck Kang flips, I can loft really floaty double flatspin 14's right now with my character. Its all about the "Chaotic" flips using the roll and spin keys.

It isn't bad but having played the demo, I still in a way prefer Jibberish and look forward to v2 (whenever it arrives).

sick vid man. what did you use to record that? I cant get high fps records whatever program I am using. just keeps getting choppy. you recorded the replay right?

im gona download the full game today if its out

and no you dont need a legit copy of windows as long as u have the latest verison of direct X, updated drivers for your graphic card ull be good. i used to play lots of pireted video games on my fake verison of windows when i was younger
