You probably have the wrong resolution set or your drivers are messed up for your video card. OR maybe your video card isn't compatible with the game?

i have downloaded directx 9 twice now it still gives me the error saying its missing the componots?
 
that game was actually pretty cool. it would be so sweet if they came out with park levels like amped. or if you could slow your spins down
 
come on the game works for me but all i can see is the skiers head and its flashing and its gonna give me a seizure
 
omg!!! this game is soo sick!!!! finaly got it to work, i just fucked around alot and the game worked. its a sick ass game. they gave the skier such good big mountain style.

grrrrr stupid validation process, i have real windows and this thing was a bitch to get around. Took me 5 mins just for this stupid thing to validate. At least it works now
 
my gameplay doesnt work, can anyone help me out. All the loading and menu screens load fine but once I start the part with the helicopter the screens starts flashing and then my skier doesnt load either. Its just his hat, poles, and skis and everything is flashing like uber siezure time.
 
Uhh... I dunno. We need someone from the games tech support in this thread, I'm really all tapped out for ideas if you've done all we've suggested.
 
how do you do corks? and i can't get that roll thing to work either, but otherwise sick ass fucking game. would be so much better on a console but its still sweet.
 
ok i downloaded the game and the latest version of direct x and i get this message

Failed to find file d3xdx9_30.dll.

and the game wont run and i really really want to play can anyone help me?
 
i think you just have to extract it or some shit, i just fucked around with it alot and it worked.
 
You probably don't have a good enough graphics card, sorry dude...

That's what used to happen to me with newer games before I got a new comp...
 
yea that's what I posted above in response to some other people with the same problem... change around your resolutions and graphic settings or get new drivers for your video card. If that doesn't work then your computer is to crappy.
 
try tapping the down arrow when your skier launches from the jump and then only spin to the left side without keeping the down button pressed.. works for me
 
Haha, you would not believe the lengths I go to play this game. My laptop is old, but it was top of the line (three years ago, ahahah). However, the programs of today use so much of the systems power that I basically overheat it every time I play a game. Fan works, its just small and sucks (I've even sent it in, tech support, cleaned it out myself, still just is shitty).

So I was playing the game. 30 min in it crashes, hard lock and sound jam (indicating overheated system). I was angry. Then I had a brainstorm. I put a ziplock bag filled with water in the freezer, waited until it froze, then wrapped it in a paper towel and put it under my buring hot laptop. Instantly everything runs like a dream. So yeah, I'm on icepacks until my laptop cooling system arrives. I have two I alternate whenever I want to play the game, its funny as hell.
 
haha that sucks man, careful though you might cause condensation inside the computer on some component....and then your laptop would never work again. i can't stop playing this game though, its so fucking sick. the replay feature is so cool too, if you hit up on the arrow while its playing it takes you back to the last jump and shows a different angle. it makes like 5 different ones too if you hit up again, so fucking cool. heres a pic from the replay, halfway through a switch cork 10 mute, into powder haha.

this game has wasted so much of my time the last two days it's just pathetic. And now that I'm thinking about the game I'll probably start playing it again.
 
'Chaotic' tricks are really flatspins from what I can tell. It still doesnt assign them correctly all the time - I landed this huge cork 7 and all I got was a 'Bio 180'. Lets not even get into if thats possible or not...
 
so i downloaded every thing yet when i click the icon to start the game all that comes up is a black screen, it flicks to a different black and then just sits...im depressed i want to play
 
Meh, i get the floating helmet/blinking screen problem. My graphics card is pretty good though, I dont know that the problem is.
