Is that really fair? He's been in the top 10 of the driver's championship for a decade, under 3 different teams, and averages around being in the top 6-7.

Definitely not the best driver out there, and his age is showing, but he definitely isn't just some junk driver in a good car either. More Riccardo hate less Checo hate.

Name me a worse driver in one of the top cars? Don’t worry I’ll wait.

He’s spent the last 2 years driving like shit much more often than not in 2 of *debatably* the most dominant cars of all time. Bottas was able to make every single Q3 for 6 years straight in car just as, if less dominant than what Red Bull has had the past few years. At this point he’s effectively a pay driver as they’re obviously not retaining him for his performance.

Checo has had his moments at Red Bull, but his time is up. Not everyone can compete as such a level once they hit the mid 30s. Maybe he just can’t manage the RB and would do better elsewhere, otherwise he should’ve

been fired ages ago. He needs to take a lesson from David Coulthard.

Lotta people on here talking like checo is the worst driver on track

I think it mostly comes from the fact he is underperforming on a similar level or arguably worse as previous teammates from Verstappen that were sacked / demoted. Checo is still in that seat is because: big money coming in from his personal sponsors / budget cap issues if they were to sack him halfway in the season / RB does not think any of their other drivers can score more points in the 2nd half of the season to help get them the constructors championship.

Good for him. I expect he will keep his connection with Audi warm but they have to show some improvement first.

Williams suddenly with a very strong driver line-up. Its impressive. James Vowles seems in control. He already signed some quality engineers etc. If he signs Newey that would be wild. Drivers are one but they need to improve a lot on the car.

For Sainz this was the best option at the moment.

Williams certainly have two very good drivers for the next season but they must improve their car as well in order to compete for the podium finishes in 2025.

Love me some moto gp. Sucks that there are less races though

Totally fair and I'm not opposed to him getting sacked. I just think if you put him in a worse car he probably would not be sitting 19/20 in the drivers championship. He'd be what he always has been, noncontroversial and around average with the occasional good drive. Although probably less so now. Homie is old.

Predictions for Zandvoort? I think we will see a nice battle..

You’d think it would be a max win but anything is possible with the way the last few races have gone. McLaren could be in with a winning chance and Mercedes could pull something out again too. Only things id say forsure is Perez will crash or finish sub 10th.

Checo would probably be doing just fine in the midfield, unfortunate truth but that man cannot drive the redbull for shit.

Fair. I have to say the checo memes, while they hurt my heart, are hilarious

If noris can get a good start he should have a good chance at the win. Piastri should be able to pass max with drs

even if max overtakes him on the first corner, his car’s pace seems to be superior to Max’

Woooo another McLaren win baby. Lando needs to get his shit together with these starts though, but his pace today was on fire.

I am down for more Lando vs Max. I am leaning for another Max win a Monza though

Speaking of the news, Colapinto said: “It is an honour to be making my Formula 1 debut with Williams - this is what dreams are made of. The team has such amazing history and a mission to get back to the front which I can’t wait to be part of..."

Kek that has been their mission for getting close to a decade now kek

We may have to wait a few years to see an American driver racing in F1.

Williams replacing a lackluster driver with someone who has an even worse junior career than Logan. Respect to Williams for giving Colapinto a chance, hope he does well at least. Although i’m not hyped for the Argentinians spamming salty comments all over social media.

Not a bad start by Colapinto to get P12 in his first F1 race. It means Valtteri Bottas has now slipped to P22 in the Championship standings.

Ferrari pulled a rabbit out of the hat with that one. Props to them for giving it a go. I’m shocked McLaren didn’t see that one coming. The second they were banging out fastest laps and Ferrari was keeping standard pace it was obvious they were doing the one stop. McLaren should have covered with one car.

Leclerc put on a clinic. 1:23:xxx lap times entire last half of the race is incredible.

Red Bull looked very strong in today's practice. It looks like they will be back in the mix for the win on Sunday.

If only practice meant anything for race pace.

Anyone else excited for the prospect of a constructors title and drivers championship going into the last couple races? McLaren has found some pase that is getting me excited and verstappen very down.

Constructors he’s. Drivers no. Lando could win every race from here to the end(never going to happen) and max could finish second and he’s still would take the title.

if McLaren can keep their form and not throw away points needlessly they’ll take the constructors. Perez isn’t giving enough support to Red Bull.

I mean, that statement was also true last week and verstappen finished 6th. It's possible and looking likely. Im excited for an exciting ending. Nothing worse than a wdc finished in Singapore.

except Lando didn’t win last week. So still not looking likely at all.

Looks like I'll be eating my words after that quali.

The upside is this is one of the tracks a safety car can change the whole game for people towards the back. Lando needs a first lap melee and change of strategy

Huge leclerc fan but no one has ever won from pole makes me nervous.

Williams in double points contention makes me happy for them. The never ending alpine struggles are real. Such a good season.

Bro Williams leaving the fan in albons car. Like wtf. It’s fucking bright neon yellow. How do you mess that up

Well god damn Logan must’ve really been shit if Franco is already matching Alex. Woke up to Piastri winning all over social media.

Perez was having a great race today until that unfortunate incident with Sainz. Checo deserved a podium finish but these things happen in this sport.

And how does Williams feel now that he won’t be in the car next year when he’s performing really well.

That last lap was wild. He was so close to passing Charles.

Because they’ve got a race winner about to take his seat

Perez should be DQ’d from the next race for that BS. Carlos got robbed of a podium and maybe even a second place. LeClerc’s tires were fading fast. Hamilton needs to get used to that mid pack finish. That’s where he’s gonna be until he hangs it up.

Stewards had all the data from both drivers and determined they both were at fault. No penalties. I’m not a Perez fan at all but he didn’t c
