- Alfa Romeo will become Sauber (with some sponsor in the name for 2 years until it because Audi?) and they will improve and will battle with Williams but end up at the same spot.[/quote]

Lol yes! They were the poor performance sleeper for me this year because I didn't pay attention to them much throughout the season. I did a double-take at the final standings because of it.

Curious to see what happens at McLaren next season. I was disgusted by Pisatri at the beginning but now I kinda like how he shook things up.

lol why disgusted?? he won f3 and f2 in his rookie seasons, dude is the biggest talent since max, norris should be worried next year..

Looks like the Americanization of F1 continues... Cadillac will be an engine supplier in 28 with or without Andretti

Idk.. he just sounded so much like a tool in interviews (to me, at first) and now I don't even care he's hilarious!.

Well time to bump up this mother clucker with the news that Hamilton is headed to Ferrari for 2025. That is insane. Not surprising but insane. Should make for a super exciting season in 25. Rumor now is Mercedes is trying to poach Alonso from Aston since Lando is locked into McLaren long term.

I’ve been a McLaren fan through and through and throughly despised Hamilton for leaving McLaren, but I can’t lie. I would honestly love to see Hamilton win in a Ferrari let alone win a championship. What a way to end your career.

I love the idea.... but it didn't work too well for Alonso or Vettel. I'd rather stick with Leclerc and Sainz, than an aging superstar

Jesus fucking christ Lewis at Ferrari could be the biggest dumpster fire. Of course you haven’t fully experienced F1 until you’ve competed for, and especially won a WDC with them. Honestly the craziest news there’s been in a while.

Eh vettle and Alonso came at the wrong time. The Ferrari while not great last season was better than those past cars. And Hamilton is betting on the 26 engine rule changes. Ferrari is Ferrari. They will win again. It’s just that simple.

Crazy shit lately between Hamilton, Horner/Marko in-fight/sexual assault allegations, and Stake being removed from Sauber within a week. Wonder what else is going to shake out.

albon to redbull allegations

Would Be very interesting to see. Usually RBR says “nope you blew it. Best we can do is Toro Rosso” or whatever they’re called now. However, Albon almost had a win before that Hamilton hit a couple years ago.

Well it seems to be a first right contract with Albon. Which is different than him to RB. Essentially they’re signing him to a contract that they have first right to him. So if they can’t get anybody else they have the first right to sign him into RB. That doesn’t mean it’s a done deal.

if they get Alonso or vettle which I think is their first choice. Then the albon contract is cancelled and he stays at Williams essentially

one week till we find out how much faster the redbull is than everyone else. shoutout haas TP for literally stating they were gonna be last again during the launch.

super exited to see how williams and vcarb set up against eachother. would be crazy if alpine suddenly become the 6th or 7th fastest team.

Keeping my fingers crossed my McLaren boys can start solidifying second in the constructors. Don’t expect max to be any slower this year.

I dislike Hamilton very much but bring on 2025, excited to see what he can do in a Ferrari. Would genuinely be happy if he could secure a final title with them. Though I’d still dislike him very much.

Yeah i’ve got absolutely no faith in anyone beating redbull. I doubt anyone will touch them, it would be nice to have the same “there’s no second fastest team” dynamic as last year cause at least it was entertaining. Otherwise, i’m happy for lewis moving to Ferrari. Lewis is very mature, professional, fast, consistent, and has a decent sense of humor. I understand the hamilton hate but really it’s his absolute rabid fans who still don’t shut up about 2021 or can’t take him getting beat by anyone but himself. Like teamlh subreddit is actually a cesspool of the most biased opinions you’ll ever see besides twitter.

Being a die hard McLaren fan my entire life my dislike for Hamilton came when he left the team. I’m extremely loyal. Once he did that I became an anyone but Lewis guy.

I hope Russel dies noone does less with a good ride than that pretty boy loser. You could have blindfolded Niko and given him a worse car and he'd still finish ahead of that prick.

Hamilton is washed and just not the same guy he used to be not sure why he wants to keep driving but he had to switch teams.

On one hand I feel like the competition is going to be a lot tighter compared to last year, but on the other hand that RB looks a lot faster then last years car where the other teams car mostly appear to be on last years RB level with the expection of Aston Martin. Their sidepod and inlet design looks really interesting. It also makes sense because this is is the first full year Dan Fallows (who came over from RB and has Newey insights) had a full year of involvement in the AM car.

He's 2 tenths off his fastest time on day 2 of testing last year. The long run data is pretty interesting as he was a second a lap faster than Mclaren on average on the same compound.

2 more days-does everyone have their drive to survive bingo cards ready? If I see Buxton on screen for more than 30 seconds I am going to put a hole in my TV

I find it quite funny that everybody copied RBs nose from last season and RB went the opposite way.

Actually I am pretty sure Newey held back certain developments last season because they were so far ahead that they did not need the upgrades yet but they do now because everybody would copy them or at least parts.

Ayrton Senna’s Lotus 98T around Zandvoort in Asseto Corsa, wish I had this but it’s my roommates setup.

Max / RB sandbagging, even in Quali. Max his pole time was slower than Charles his best in Q2. They are still figuring out balance etc with this new spec but I predict they will keep a significant gap to P2.

Interested in the race later today.

VCARB comment sections are a Yuki Vs Daniel fan civil war, they used to be so peaceful with good discussion. Every fan wants the other dropped from the team like they aren’t almost identical in performance and a very strong pairing. All this drama over zero chance of points, bad strategy, and an overdramatized dive bomb from yuki.

getting rid of Sainz for aging Hamilton will go down as one of Ferrari's worst decisions in history. Carlos is going to get a competitive ride next year and make it his mission to humiliate the prancing horse at every circuit.

Dont forget there is more going on, it is also about a chance to get that RB seat.

Looking at this singular event: Yuki seemed to be catching the guy in front. DR said this scenario was already discussed before the race because they planned different tyre strategies. Now I must say I agree with Yuki that he should have gotten the chance to do the overtake first before doing the switch with DR. He was just getting in DRS zone and then they forced the switch. Made little sense from racing perspective. Also, DR did not improve and struggled when he switched places with Yuki. Even though it was not about points, DR should have given the place back to Yuki just as a way of saying thank you for giving me a go, but he did not.

Sainz ended up above Charles several times in overal ranking over the years. Also if you look into how many times he had mechanicals or really bad luck etc he was hit more often. Charles does win quali battle but for me that is not enough to justify the difference in contract size. I hope Sainz beats Charles again this year. He was been very respectful in his responses afterh the Hamilton news, a true gentlemen playing the long game.

From Ferrari's pov its all about marketing which is the opposite of what Ferrari stands for and why they changed team boss etc. Hamilton is already slowly but steadily performing less and less so from racing perspective it does not make sense imo. All that talk about yes but now we have a 7 time WC in the team, sure but he is not that fast anymore and they need a better car to be able to win, Hamilton does not bring a better car. It might get them higher sponsorship income etc.

I just hope Sainz will get a solid contract and a fast car and stays in the top because he deserves that. I am worried he will go to the Audi team in 2025 wich is then still Stake / Sauber (Audi officially from 2026) , and that car is still not fast..

You've also got to remember the amount of experience that Lewis brings to the team and to Charles. Charles' 1-lap pace is amazing, but he still lacks the race craft needed to get a WC. Having Lewis as a team mate will bring out the potential that Charles has.

I think it's a great move for Ferrari, above just the extra marketing & sponsorship income. Having one of the greatest of all time provide input into your car, team and No 1 driver will be incredible. Plus the draw you now have for engineers and personnel from other teams can't be ignored - I can see Ferrari being competitive in 2025, but being the No 1 team in 2026 wit the reg changes (especially if Newey leaves RB for Ferrari after this Horner/Jos power struggle)

I dont expect Lewis to help Charles with any skills, he wants another WC so why would he help Charles if they have a good car? Also I dont see people changing teams because of Lewis. He is at the end of his career and already performing less and less, why would you follow him? His input on a technical level on car development is said to be pretty limited.

The Horner/Jos thing is pretty funny. Gotta love Jos for adding gasoline to a fire that was about to die down.. Not sure if Max agrees with all that.

Newey going to Ferrari would be fun and interesting to see but he has said several times that if he would quit RB he would quit F1. He is doing some fun other projects to spend time on instead of going into retirement completely so I would think he would rather do things like that on his own terms instead of committing for a multi year adventure at Ferrari with a packed calendar.

Yuki is pretty toxic period. He wouldn’t have this ride if he still didn’t have Honda backing.

Well no shit it’s because of Honda but at this point he’s solidified himself as a good driver, but with a pretty weak temperament. At least he doesn’t get physical like Max and Lance have. To add on DR only has his seat because he’s marketable, but none of the less he’s still very solid. I guess i’m more bothered by the constant calls for Yuki to get dropped when DR can’t even convincingly beat him. Why not drop the 34 year old who was supposed to destroy yuki in the first place, or at least clearly outperform? I don’t see much time left for either of them sadly.

Because yuki is toxic and Daniel isn’t. Just that’s simple.
