Suzie is the wife of Toto and he used to own a majority stake and be on board of directors for williams. So, hers was a case of being in the right place at the right time.

Technically, all F1 drivers have to be at “right place and right time” and get a bit of luck but hers was more akin to Lance’s dad owning the team.

I haven’t even watched Miami. I know it’s going to be a boring race so why bother with the replay.

miami was actually alright, and it’ll be raining the entire weekend in monaco. imagine the insanity if fernando gets pole as the AMR23 excels at cornering compared to the other cars at the top. and considering lance’s only talent being fast as fuck in the rain we might see a really interesting lineup.

I would enjoy if Aston Martin was on the front row

everyone would, although at this point i’d die if it’s another rb 1-2 with likely nando or leclerc taking third

That's such a dated take.

look, lance isn’t awful but he isn’t great. aside from his one dnf he’s been well off alonso’s pace. obviously only time will tell, but so far alonso has beat lance in every race and qualifying. i don’t want to see lance end up having half the points fernando does by the end of the season. lance is a beauty in the rain so i’m hoping he can make some extra ground this weekend.

I love how Alonso has his engineer pass on his strategy and setup to Lance mid race lmao

Thoughts on the Monaco GP? Even with Max winning at least it wasn't another RB 1-2. 3 different teams on the podium especially Alpine is a nice change

boring as hell alonso should’ve won

Couple curve balls for sure this race that I thought would lead to more. If I don't watch the race live last year, I'll probably just watch the race in 30 that F1Tv does. They definitely tried to make it interesting with the new camera angles, showing mid pack more, but it's just a long race.

I got way too hyped around lap 58 when the rain and drama seemed imminent. Also when Max had front left tire issues and Alonso was gaining a second a lap on him.

In the end - fucking boring race, per usual.

Totally agree. Monaco is glimours of "oh shit here comes something!" And then nothing transpires.

I honestly had more fun looking at the shots of the ridiculous yachts in the harbour and the city landscape over the racing.

Aston screwed the pooch with putting Alonso back on slicks. If he would have been on inters we would have had a real race.

What's everyone thinking about Danny Ric for AlphaTauri?

I'm sure he's faster than Yuki but don't know how much he can compete with the top 4 right now

It will be at best on par with last year with McLaren.

His fastest lap during his tire test on Monday would have put him second on the grid for the race Sunday. He’s going to do just fine.

I’m sure Perez’s butthole puckered up when he saw Ricardo’s time.

rb need a bench mark to rate yuki, i think bringing daniel in is a good idea. the great thing is that he clearly still has the motivation to pursue a top team seat even after mclaren. i’d just like to see DR stay in formula 1 a few more years without being shite.

I'm curious if this is really a stream line back too red bull or if that's all speculation. Regardless, so happy to see him back in. Wonder if DeVries ever gets aa second shot.

nyck’s entire purpose in AT was to match or beat yuki, he will not be back.

Really thought that kid had something after last year.

nyck ain’t a kid that’s the point. his 2022 monza finish was a result of 1. the fact that the williams was the fastest in a straight line and 2. the 4 retirements and starting grid penalties from other drivers.

Maybe. You could argue both ways to fluke, or skill, or luck with penalties. Regardless I expected better from him. Didn't realize he was 28.

Las Vegas F1 started with a boom!

Ferrari said there was a hole in the cockpit and you could see the asphalt through it. Sainz could have been serious injured.

Toto Wolff says people are overreacting.

Thoughts?

Didn't watch FP1 recap yet but cancelling the first practice session shows how much of a shit show it'll be this whole weekend.

The pit lane exit is gonna be spicy. I'm thinking 5+ DNF's for the race lol

Pit lane exit will indeed be interesting.. Why dont they add a rule that drivers cant cross that line from the trackside, just like you cant when they exit the pits.. Weird..

Somehow they fixed those holes (40 of them!) rather quickly.. I did not expect that..

Crazy how it was so late at night.. Why?? (Besides the delay..) What time does it get dark there?

Sad for Sainz he will get a grid penalty, that is harsh..

Quali will be interesting..

Yeah FP2 ended at 4am Vegas time I'm sure the drivers were pissed

I love how the FIA said "the damage was caused by highly unusual external circumstances" but still gave a 10 place penalty.

I think the younger drivers will struggle with the tyre situation the most. Strategies will be interesting

saint getting a grid penalty is probably one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I'd love the Vegas gp to go well but they've done basically everything wrong they can do at this point.

The team principals press conference was spicy. Fred Vasseur was understandably fucking pissed.

On another note. There are well established tracks that have had issues with grates and whatnot being dislodged by an F1 car in free practice. And I don't believe this is the first street course that has had similar issues, especially during their first year. So I don't really rate the incident as a huge failure. Shit happens, F1 cars put a ridiculous amount of stress on inanimate objects.

Godzilla could emerge from beneath the pavement and Toto would still say that everyone is overreacting. Followed by Toto going to yell at either Horner or the FIA

Interesting quali.

Would be nice for Sargeant to score points, although he would than seem to only score points on US soil which would be a weird stat.

That race was a banger. I usually start it late so I can fast forward past stints I know are going to be boring. I was glued to every second of this one.

Ya he’s gotta be super happy. Highly likely he keeps his seat now. If he lost second Ricardo was going to replace him for sure.

I am not a Ricciardo fan, and that would be a a big L move on Redbull’s part imo.

it’s probably over logie, not sure who the hell williams are gonna sign over him for 24. if albon got 17-0’d by a young verstappen then that logan’s gotta have some potential at least ??

Verstappen perfect donut to his 1st place podium stop was the most impressive thing about the race. I was blown away with how little time off they get. 95 days from now. Nuts. Like baseball players.

Just enough time for the Netflix folks to craft the most silly drama storylines for D2S.

I like the show, but it feels like real housewives of LA for dudes.

If the show had 10% more onboard footage, 20% less drama and 100% less Will Buxton it would be perfect

Fuck ya that is soo sick

Just the perfect ending to the most. Incredible season.

Anyone but the worry he has for next year? A car soo dominant with barely any upgrades, if any, since summer break? Not gonna repeat?

As long as Hamilton never wins again I’ll be a happy man.

im a McLaren guy through and through. The moment he left. He was dead to me. I get why he left. Doesn’t matter. I’m loyal lol

Predictions for next season:

- MER / FER / MCL / AM will be even more close to each other. They will get closer to RB but RB stays ahead with Newey wizardry since they have been working on next years car for a while now.. Despite that they will have to work harder for it but in the end they win. If Perez stays he will have a difficult time securing 2nd overall.

- Alpine will stay where they are, in the middle, more busy with internal affairs than with racing or improving the car, so in the end they will end up a place lower because;

- AT will make a jump because they will copy RB within legal limits, overtaking Alpine. DR stays at AT because he did not show enough and he will be okay with that because AT will be more competitive. Than if he improves he might replace Perez after next season.

- Williams will close the gap to Alpine, scoring more regularly but because AT will improve that much that Williams will not end higher than this year.

- Haas will have a difficult start because their big update this year did not improve the car. So they chose to switch tactics and wait with designing updates after they have seen all the other cars and then introduce a B-spec, only to end up last anyway because they are out of budget to bring more updates after that.

- Alfa Romeo will become Sauber (with some sponsor in the name for 2 years until it because Audi?) and they will improve and will battle with Williams but end up at the same spot.
