lol you just compared football to chess... That, my friend, just invalidated anything you are going to say.Anyhow, I like playing football casually with my friends and I hate playing soccer and watching soccer. I am not a fan of Professional football and the attention and money involved, it's almost as bad as the nhl lockout. I just think that how america views and treats professional athletes vs. other occupations (military, scientific researchers, etc.) is completely inverted. My point is this: the amount of money and the amount of attention athletes are getting (such as football players) is so out of wack, when compared to our soldiers pay and our scientific researchers attention and pay. The fact the football is boring to watch and is repetitive, which i think is completely true, is just a side note, i think families and friends are further head spending time being active and engaged with one another and doing stupid shit together, respectively, than yelling at a tv screen for "their" team. It's a strange thing we do, that I think is very wasteful of life. Life is to short. I don't know i am getting off track haha i am to tired for this argument and i gotta study for my midterms tomorrow....
