For a first edit, that was actually very good. I couldn't tell if you were shooting on a handheld camcorder or you didn't know how to use a dslr. So if thats dslr, then you should learn to properly shoot vid (a million youtube videos on it) but if not, keep doing what you're doing. The intro was way way to long for the 7 or so shots haha. Color correcting was a bit funky, but that's alright. Apart from the intro the flow was there so I say, very good first edit, a couple minor tweaks and you will be well on your way to being Level 1… sorta

:)Haha thanks! Yeah I'm still adjusting from editing video games so my the color corrections weren't great. Also the footage was provided by Camp of Champions so I didn't actually record it, but now that you mention it I think I'm going to get some better footage. Any suggestions from where?

Ya np man. So I actually did not know that was from camp of champs so I would say go ham editing cocs footy and just practice and dont actually post it up on the interwebs. And invest in ur own gear and hookup with someone whos good and film ur own stuff so that when u make an edit its truly yours. Peace man

Its tough to make a good edit out f someones clips, so good job! If your going to continue making edits from clips off the internet, or clips that you didnt shoot, make sure you have great effects and a great colour correction. Great doesnt mean, over the top, so keep it simple. for the effects you can use some slow motion, but even just syncing to the beat is enough :) as for the cc, just make a nice crisp blue sky and nicely saturated colours :) In the future when you decide to shoot you own footage, the biggest tip I can give you is get close to what your filming, especially if your using a wide angle lens such as a gopro. You want to fill the frame with what your shooting, so get nice and close and expect some rad footage! Goodluck man, and great start :)
