If people needed a more official announcement.

EDM isn't really my thing, but Bisco should deliver. Lineup has some pretty big names. Gets announced tomorrow.

I hope it's not TOO heavy on the edm but I wouldn't be surprised these days.

The biscuits are playing fairly well again which is good to hear. I generally just hit camp for them, and a few other acts. Obviously checked out some other stuff but not a huge edm guy. Especially with what that scene turned into.

Kids OD'ing on fake drugs together

Thinking its going to be announced today? I just saw them say stay tuned! So just curious on your source. Not calling you out, just excited to see what's in store for us!!

not my first choice of tea either.. But, if you let loose and just feed off the vibes you can have a chill time! I just think of it as being at a nightclub (also usually tons of chicks with minimal clothing). EDM has actually helped me enjoy jam bands more since it shows you to just not give a fuck and dance!

I wanna see lineup meowwwww

Gotcha, that sounds cool tho...I'd love to get up to CoSM sometime.

you sticking around in bk after or heading home?

I'm going to cosm for the summer solstice celebration on June 20 and I'm so excited. It'll be my first time there and I've heard such great things.

well, I also don't recognize a single name on that list. Granted I don't go out of my way to listen to DJ's and generally don't get any inspiration from their concerts, so that might explain it.

haha i thought you'd say that. basically put it this way, if they're on that list, they're fucking good DJ's.

I wish djs would mix some stuff live. Sure a few do but it's such a small amount. This trend of pre prodcution and then just dancing while turning an occasional nob bums me out. I'd rather a song be a little different or a dj fuck up once in a while than just let it go. I would rather hear somebody struggle to sing than lip sync to a track recorded earlier.

That's just how I feel though. Not saying the lights, sound system and energy aren't cool, but jesus, what are you really seeing with some of these djs.

Take some chances and mix some shit live ppppppplleeeeassse

Interesting to see what direction they went. Louie and I are going to have to weigh the pros and cons between this festival and Disc Jam..

Was really hoping they were going to scale back on the electro a bit. I mean it's camp bisco but still. Was hoping the vibe would go back to the earlier days. 2011 and 12 half the people there weren't there for the biscuit, many didn't even know who the biscuits were. It was just a bummer. Hell 2011 there were young children like 5 year olds there, it was horrible. I feel like if they scaled back the size and some of the artists that place would go up massively in good vibes.

Just my opinion. The 2011 edm way boom really fucked everything up. Younger crowd, shittier drugs, and bad stuff happening.

I remember working my buddies drum booth on upper shakedown in 202. Realized it was bassnectars set because I heard whomp blasting through the trees and saw around 7 golf carts bringing people up the hill for medical attention, 1 I think was having a seizure.

People get fucked up everywhere, there are bad drugs everywhere, but the edm boom 4 or 5 years ago has really brought that all out hard.

for sure man! I was hoping for some more jams and less edm too. At least twiddle, lotus... something!

There is a second announcement round coming, and it's ALL BANDS!!!

I'm going to be getting jams all summer so this lineup is acceptable for me based on that. On the non jam front, this lineup is dope: Biscos, Bassnectar(actually one of my favorite shows), PL, and Flatbush. Really happy Flatbush is on there. It'll be great to actually get some hip hop in this summer if I can swing it. It's really hard for me to usually because most of my favorite hip hop artists only play festivals I'd never pay to go to.

It's certainly not a small amount, unless you're talking about something like the dj mag top 100.

It's a shame you, and the general population, now believe that's what the majority of dj's do - a "pre-recorded" set with tracks already chosen and a bozo up on stage with his hands in the air the whole time.

It's also worth clearing up what "live" can mean as far as electronic music/dj's:

- The performer plays ONLY their own productions

- The performer uses ableton, often with a midi controller, to play pieces of tracks together - for example: one tracks percussion with another tracks bassline with another tracks vocals etc.

- The performer(s) play instruments, electronic or otherwise, live on the spot, and use software and/or hardware to manipulate the sounds

A combination of those three examples is possible as well.

No one is going to claim that traditional djing - mixing one track into another - takes as much talent as playing a "real" instrument. IMO, where the talent and creativity lie, is in the djs ability to read a crowd and play both things he or she knows the crowd loves, as well as things the crowd doesn't yet know they love

Lost Village festival in Lincoln (kinda near London). Its new this year and for only 4500 people and £100 a ticket the lineup is ridiculous

For sure man! I am not into hiphop but I can stand edm at night partying. I like the all out party and the nightclub feeling. The letting loose aspect I can dig. And I was just telling ben how I wanna do bisco because we see Jam bands all winter and Catskill Chill. Can't wait for this.

Bisco lineup is definitely dope enough for me to head down to PA this summer. I need to see tipper after missing the show in New York. Two more hours until tickets are on sale

I can't afford tickets for another month or more. Not thinking it will sell out though. Hopefully not. Montage must hold a lot of people? I think there will be a lot of day passes sold too if that's an option over camping so I will tell myself there is no reason to be paranoid about selling out.

$135 sold out in under a minute but I have no doubt that $155 or whatever the next tier is will be up for a while

It went up to 185 already! I see a bunch of people complaining. I hate festival drama :| mainly because I want everyone happy lol. Not worried. 185+45 then whatever parking is isn't so bad.

Maybe, still have yet to make one. Always end up at other fests.

Also as far as the chill really really really hoping for moe. Ive been badgering dave for years but he can't book them because of moe.down. This year no moe.down so I think there's a decent shot.

Probably heading to scamp next weekend. I missed out last year so it'd be rad to get back there again.

Then probably back east for the summer fest season

I hike the AT for a couple of days every memorial day weekend with some people otherwise I'd definitely be there.

You still need the ticket? PM me your email address and it's yours if you promise to check out the Verboten stage at various times over the weekend

For a 17 year old and only has a part time job and is saving for college and skiing 400$ for just a pass is a lot so i just want to make it worth it. But honestly I'm probably gonna go fuck it

what country? that sounds pretty steep/ Most I ever paid was interlocken a couple years ago I bought my ticket at the gate and it was 330.

Never head of anything going for 400. Even bonnaroo which is custy central is like 350 tops.

Look for some small fests there are a ton all over the place.

I just went on the website for it and it's $230 not 400. I'm not sure where you got that number.
