Are really not OK. I'm trying to look at NS with my mom here, and theres this slutty looking bitch showing off her tits on every single page. Weren't forum rules just updated to keep the website more SFW in general, and not allow things like this in unmarked threads? Now they're on every single page of NS that I go to.

Please remove them, I'd like to be able to comfortably browse NS with family in the room.

Last thing: I want to see pictures of everyone (and their girlfriends) that is claiming this chick to be ugly, or even "not attractive". I'm not saying she's a supermodel or a 10, or even exactly my type, but give me a fucking break. If that's your idea of "not attractive" you've got some pretty fucking high standards, or very low levels of testosterone. Its the reaction to said ad. Its the seriousness that for some reason is permeating a few people's opinion of how we're supposed to act as skiers.

Do I think the act of skiing is lame? Absolutely not. I ski because I enjoy it.

Do I think the general ski industry is lame? Yes - sometimes it really is.

The main problem is our inability to shed ourselves of our 'serious' role. Its why we have never really fully managed to become quite as dope as the other action sports.

I mean come on - this thread is about how someone is stating that they feel newschoolers is ruined because their mom is sitting with them while reading NSG. I mean jesus fucking christ... if your mom likes this place then we really fucked something up along the way.

pretty much this. i saw the ad when i was browsing nsg earlier, but instead of whining about it i just went on with my day. its really not a big deal. and lol i can get behind that education too
 
If this is really the stance the mods AND admins take on this, then re-revise the nsfw forum rules. If its not ok in the forums, it's on ok in ads. But it's a lot harder to stay away from the top of every single page whenever I'm in public than to skip over a picture or two in the thread. I don't have a problem with naked chicks, but there is a difference between them being on a page I navigate to intentionally and being somewhere where everyone will see whether they like it or not.

Aside from that, I really don't care. It seemed hypocritical at first because of the recent NSFW rules, but considering the fact that Bishop has retracted those rules and allowed pictures of scantily clad women to flood the threads about it, I would say that situation was handled well.

Its not so bad every once in awhile, but when you see that every single page, it starts to get annoying. I come on NS for skiing, not boobies. First Drop is a joke anyway, and I can't wait till they go out of business.

Personally i have no problem with it, but i also find it a pretty lame ad and as far as the 'this does not belong on NS' argument goes, i partially agree, upon request of you guys we've tried to put forward some rules/guidelines about stuff like this and did our best to make things clear for you guys and imho it does interfere with those.

On the other hand i also think you guys need to stop giving so much fucks about 'rules' be glad that NS is moderated by people and not by bots, NS and moderating on NS can be so much more chill if you guys stop nitpicking about the rules and moderating and just enjoy the gratuitous cleavage!
