Exactly. If you ask me I think it's an effective marketing tactic because the ad gets the veiwers attention very quickly.
 
Has anyone else been browsing the internet at home before only to have your hornyness level skyrocket because of a fucking ad like that? Then I waste the next 1/2... I don't appreciate those types of distractions cause I'll usually set aside time for that kind of thing. That 1/2 hr could have been on ns, doing homework, making food, eating food, being outside doing stuff, or laughing but instead it was spent on some trashy website that I like to reserve for weekday nights

Here are some reasons I could think of

-demeaning to women

-making bad first impressions at the library or at a new house or at work

-not even well done, just selling sex. see second point

-distracting. see first point

-setting a bad example for the youngins

-adding to the list of similarities between sites like newschoolers and random sketchy sites, or generally "ugly" sites. these aren't classy ads gentlemen

WOW you people are lame. The first chick was ug, and that was offensive - but the half naked girls in ads is NOT a big deal.

Way to take all the fun out of it, you damn prudes. Grow a pair.

I'm just going to chime in quick here.

I'm not offended by the mostly naked lady in a seductive pose. Been there myself.

What I'm bothered by is the fact that it looks like it was taken by a cheap camera and photoshopped by a prepubescent boy. Holy low quality ad.

At least when I see mostly naked chicks in perfume ads and in magazines they don't have a radioactive glow about them. The lange girls look hot as fuck and shot professionally. The FD girl... just kinda looks weird. She'd probably be totally hot if shot with proper lighting and not edited to hell in photoshop.

Now here is a sexy as fuck Reebok ad that I find in far better taste.

These ads are pretty dumb, but I think people are a little too concerned with the fact they can almost see boobies...

But yeah, been there. Made a solid living for a while. (none of it had anything to do with the sex industry) So I totally get the girls situation.

I just can't stand the remarkably shitty post production of those photos! That poor girl. She's made to look like she got a bad spray tan and became radioactive from it.
 
there's a fine difference between bikini models in bikinis, and bikinis models posing sexually. one is erotica, and the other is modeling. albeit both forms are types of modeling. but i have to really agree, they don't compare. as much as boobies are amazing and loved by all, the ad is tasteless, and completely lame. also, how often do you really see female skiers posing in ads like that? do you think that really makes skier women feel accepted, or taken seriously? i dont know, if you want to be a 16+ website, go for it. but its a stupid ad. if a company wants to make a tshirt with a topless chick fine, but it really has zero to do with outerwear. so i dont get it? half naked women on billboards are generally selling half naked products. whereas the add is selling snow pants, irrelevant. all that on a note of something from the past, anyways.
 
I'll stick with my healthy non cancerous skin given to me by my german/swedish/irish ancestors.

That and it's kinda pointless to try to achieve a tan when you'd rather be skiing than fake baking.
 
Whenever I see people tanning, that's all I can think of. Girls with naturally light skin should keep it that way, it's even less healthy for the ones that think they need it more.
 
So why aren't the complainers bitching about the Snorgtee ad? And let us not forget the skis.com bikini girl. Everyone just flipped out because it was FD.

Personally I don't mind seeing semi-nude chicks, I just find the ads extremely tacky and really puts me off fd as a brand. I understand the relevance of naked women on a site made up of predominantly pre-pubescent boys. But the ads are just not done well.
 
I think ugly is really stretching it. And if you have any self esteem issues you can blame hyper idealized women you see in ads. Not everyone in advertisements have to e intensely desirable, and frankly, not everyone is, so why the fuck does it matter?
 
i didnt read the last few pages buttt get over it lol. to counter all the "hurr now i need adblock" comments (other than if your at work, thats understandable) I got a friend of mine to remove adblock when i showed him what he was missing out on lol ... not everyone is crying because of this ad, just sayiin.

Was FD just thinking that we only watch newschoolers videos when we're alone at home? I've been to so many places when I just see some girl play with her tits, really awkward, and quite annoying too.

Kind of makes me stay away from the video section, but I do like their other video ads like the snowmobile ones.
