DO NOT AGREE WITH WHAT YOU POSTED AT ALL!!!

The fact that this happened yes is unfortunate and you can lay all the facts out that you want about how long he potentially will live as a quad, but that DOES NOT give him the right to TAKE ADVANTAGE of our legal system and potentially put OUR sport at HIGH RISK. THat's all it takes man, is one incident like this to ruin it for everyone else. Your point in my opinion is not valid... BEcause what I got outta your post was that you justify the if you are injured AND IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT (fuck what the legal system has to say, that doesn't mean you have the right to take advantage of the system) Honesty Nor YOU or the Injured can say that he did not understand the risk... everyone knows that's bullshit. I'm of the opinion this kid shouldn't win the case. Honestly, nobody here can deny the fact that he knew what he was doing when he hit that jump. kids learn that falling hurts at the age of 2, for christ sake. As for the argument that he needs the money, so do thousands upon thousands of people around the world. Think how much 5 million could do for the starving people out there who are just as screwed as this kid, nobody gives a damn about them simply because most of them never had the money or time to go buy a pass to whistler and fuck themselves over. pfft. I feel bad for the kid, its terrible, but I don't think that the consequences of his actions should give him the right to take away even something small from countless others.

linemaveric u must not understand that this kid needs the money. he will not be able to live for half as long as he should if he does not get any money. the people liveing in poverty can get jobs and dont have anything wrong with them. you cant do anything about people that are on crack and throw there life down the shitter. a minor that breaks his neck at a ski resort and takes it to court will win wether you like it or not. its the courts these days not weather its right or wrong

ITs funny how fucked up our legal system is. People are put in jail for years, or the rest of their life for shooting an intruding burglar who was gonna kill them, and rob them anyways. But a lady who spilled hot coffee on her lap gets 69 Million dollars. A guy who got fat on fast food wins 14 millions dollars. A kid who fucked up and got hurt (i think he should get the fat guys money) RUINS OUR SPORT...potentially if he wins.

I think there should be waivers. And there should also be a little mini park with one rail and one jump at the bottom of every mtn witha terrain park, and a liftie should make you hit the rail and the jump, and if you cant or really suck, and cant even ski...you cant go in the park

something similar happened at my resort this year. A 30 year old doctor died trying to do a back flip over showtime a 50 foot tabletop and broke his neck and died. this happened on the guys second day ever snowboarding. i think his family is sueing the resort too. it sucked because after that they scale down the park. other then that nothing else has changed yet.

Alcohol the cause and solution to all lifes problems.
 
haha all those years of med school down the drain, at least all his debt went away. I guess he wasn't a very good doctor or he could have saved himself.
