Erica Durtschi bringing style to womens skiing?

Lets get this thread back on track. These women are throwing down and pushing themselves, and it looks like they are all having fun. Isn't that what this is all about?

Mad props to erica, shanny, maude, lisa, and all women skiers for getting out there and respecting the roots of the sport by skiing hard and having a blast doing it. And also for disregarding the 95% of NS that only talks smack. KEEP SHREDDING LADIES

I dont think the problem is that we are taking it too seriously but the fact that all these little middle and high schoolers think it's fine to be demeaning to women and girls.

It wouldn't matter if the girls were throwing double corks or triples you would still get the "stay in the kitchen, girls can't ski, they belong in the bed" remarks. If you dont call them out, this site will forever be doomed page after page of this shit
 
As if "professional" skiers and industry people haven't been demeaning to female skiers on NS as well... It's more of a deeply rooted problem in society/action sports than just middle schoolers playing a joke.

And as for the "it's the internet" argument, my only response would be that the internet world is just an extension of the real world and society, and if you're posting demeaning shit, then you're an asshole in both realms.

I for one get stoked on these edits and the fact that these girls are making progress, I just wish I could enjoy the stoke without all these immature fucks cunting up the threads.
 
very few people have been demeaning in this thread.only pointing out how cheated landings and 3's are considered top notch edit material by women.
 
i think you missed my point a little. i wasn't necessarily saying people were taking it too seriously nor was i saying that guys making fun of women's skiing is fine, i was mainly just saying it was strange how the first page was full of hate and nobody was called out for it, but then once flying~squirrel posted everybody jumped on him.
