Enough With The Tall Tees

hahaha =]

no you fuck! short poles! =]

i can't imagin why a pole being covered by a tall tee was on your mind.

you must have some freaky fetish....

you caught me. actually they were talking about tall tees and you were talkin about short poles so i figured maybe you were embarrassed or somethin hahahaha

So why bring it back up?... Your opinion won't change what others wear; people are going to do what they will do regardless of some anonymous poster's opinion on a notoriously volatile online message board. So, assuming you knew that (because anyone who knows anything about skiing or NS would figure that out), what's your motivation?
Also, its spelled "awful". So maybe you actually did think people care about you hating on tall t's?

kids always dress funny. it's the only time in your life when you can go out in public dressed like a fucking clown and get away with it.

Did you really just say that you are affected by how other people dress? Seriously? Wow...
If other peoples' fashion choices really and truly affect YOUR life, I would hate to know what kind of fragile psyche you are dealing with, you may want to consider seeking help for that...
PS never worn a tall t, pretty sure I never will, but who the fuck cares.

Wasn't gonna post in this thread, because we've had enough of these threads over the years...
But seeing some of these posts is really irritating. Everyone has their own reason for skiing. If they are on NS, clearly they like it enough to spend time off the hill still talking about skiing with skiers. If you see a bunch of stoked kids wearing tall tees and acting "thug", who are you to say that they shouldn't be stoked? Who are you to propose proper dress etiquette so our sport can "advance"? I love skiing. It doesn't matter to me whether or not it's recognized by the rest of the world, I'll do it anyways.
Another idea. You say we're all the same? When I graduated high school I was the only NSer and one of maybe 5 people who rode twintips. At my university I'm one of about 5 NSers and probably quite a low percentage of freeskiers. The majority of people still look startled by the tall/bright clothing I wear. In regards to the rest of the world, I and every other NSer is pretty unique (as blondie said). Since this is a newschool skiing website first and foremost, it makes sense that people who appreciate similar aspects of skiing would get together here. And evidently we share more than just our love for skiing in common. The fact that there are so many "newschooler" stereotypes proves this. White teenager from a privileged family, listens to rap and electronic music, appreciates style and fluidity of riding, and like OP mentions, wears tall clothing. I personally do fall into a couple of these stereotypes, but rather than be ashamed of it I'm stoked that another NSer can see me on the hill and know that they can ski up to me, ask me the location of a backcountry gap jump, and take a lap on the mountain together.
So lay off the pretentious guidance tips on where you think skiing should go. Enjoy the lifestyle, and let everyone else enjoy it however they want.

please find something else to bitch about. there are plenty of threads like this one that dont change atnything. just get over it and do what you want.

are you saying people who wear tall t's dont care about the sport? and dont worry im sure tall t's will fade out eventually, but for now lets let people wear what they want =]

END SCENE, alright guys thats a wrap great work on todays hateful thread. we get it this guy stumbled into a bee hive. lets stop since everyone is just repeating what has been said on page one. skiing is fun, done.

wow this thread has really opened my eyes. thank you for bringing up this insightful topic which has never been discussed on newschoolers or ever crossed me mind. i guess ill go destroy all my tall tees because i never thought of that.

Wearin a tall tee is just something that everyone in the skiing community has goton use to. If you don't like it who cares do what you want, that's why it is called RR

I will agree that tall teees look fucking absurd. But I guess that thug style is what most appeals to them and describes them the best.

ahah, if all the kiddies stoped wearing tall-ts then the mom's in the world wont be happy cuz then they will no be able to purchase 1 teeshirt that will last the kid until he's 25
