i dont really agree with this at all. as a matter of fact, it seems like a fairly ignorant and flat out stupid thing to say. Now, more than ever before in the past, skiers have been segmenting off into their own diverse groups. this is what we need, to be a bit more like skateboarding. you dont see street skaters trying to shred vert or vert skaters trying to shred park.
Are you trying to tell me that Hornbeck, Wesson, Parry, Tom, Wiley and Bobby all are striving for the same goals, style and tricks? Were starting to get a split between comp skiers, film skiers, urban skiers, pipe skiers, pow skiers, etc.... which is what I think we need if the sport is going to grow.
This whole tall tee debate is dumb. someone is always going to have a problem with the new "trend" and there is always going to be a clash of styles. again, this is something we have to accept (like skateboarding) and instead of trying to fight it, just diversify and do what you want to do to have fun.
