so for all you people that are emo goth metal etc. I have one question for you! why? why do you dress and act like that, it dosent make sense.
 
do you really think they are gonna answer such a stupid question? and y arent you asking y ppl whear diamond and gold dentures. or dress up like soma the guys from g-unit. im not either of them
 
hahahahahahha, why dont we all dress the same... yeah that'd be fuckin sweet. LAME, all that shit needs to exhist to keep things different. i dont understand the whole im gonna slit my wrists in the bathtub shit but respect people who choose to have a different style because sooner or later you're gonna be jockin it in one way or another. dont hate what you cant understand, that leads to genocide...
 
Well, shit, I guess I learned something new today. Not only am I somehow grouped in with emos for my taste in music, but now I feel compelled to dress a certain way in an effort to cry out for attention.

Here's a couple questions for the thread creator: Why do you dress the way you do? In what way does somebody else's clothing affect you in any way? Just because people are different than you doesn't mean you can lump them all into the same category; come back with a legitimate question and I may give you a serious answer.
 
because at least around here all the emos goths and metals are dicks and dont give a shit about themselves. If they want attention than make friends (normal ones) and i dress like most people do. I think the weird fuzzy doo and eyeliner and all that stuff is just going alital to far, you have to agree.
 
if they dressed like everyone else did they'd be wearing pink polos and plaid shorts. then i'd still call them gay. probably even more so. but the way i see it, at least from the people at my school, they don't want to look the same as "us" or kids who actually have fun. from what i've talked to them about why they act and dress the way they do, they think they are better than everyone. not all, just some, or maybe most. when they don't get asked out to parties, they justify it as the people having the parties are lame and stupid. but really the goth/emo kids really want to be asked to those parties. it almost always winds down to when they were kids and were made fun of. instead of takin the teasing like normal kids and going back to playing with everyone else, then went home and stayed there. so they dress like that and hate on everyone else just becuae they were picked on when they were little. now its too late for them. because i know many occasions where i've sat in class and me and a friend or too has talked to the weird girl and try to strikeu up conversation. they don't want it. they couldn't care anymore

but everyone has to admit, that the hardcore emo kids are going to look back in 10 years and be like "I am a fuck retard, why the hell did i dress that like"?
 
Well actaully if they are real hardcore they will kill themselfs before 10 years roll around.

But I say let them dress how they want. We shoulnt label someone for dressing a certain way. There really is only a small percentage that i think would actaully think about suicide. Let them be different, im sure they think we are different from them.
 
you must be retarded. like, honestly. there are so many things wrong with this post, i don't know where to start. first of all, if someone's a dick, its because they don't care about other people, not because they don't care about themselves. second, how someone dresses has absolutely no bearing on their attitude. there are deuschbags that dress metal and there are certainly plenty of dicks that dress preppy. diversity is not a bad thing, and you clearly dont understand that. get your head out of your ass and just live your own life.
 
just like alot of skiers think its cool to act gangsta and get attention, the emo kids dress weird and dye their hair cause they think that style is cool, metalheads should go back to the 80s though
 
Wow, I listen to metal and wear black and guess what?! I have "normal" friends. WOW what a concept! Just because I wear band t-shirts and listen to metal doesnt mean I cant interact with non-metal people. Maybe you should get to know one of these so called dickheads. You might realize that they are the same as you and the rest of the student body.
 
this one kid in my school he is like 6'5 probably 140lbs..skinny as hell. He wears skirts that he HAS to tuck his dick back or else it would come out the bottom. he wears fishnet shirts and he has a PINK mohawk. he takes being emo to a WHOLEEE new level. I just wanna go up to him and ask him why?

metal is a new style at least at my school. I listen to it, but dont try to dress it it dosent make sense at all.

they want to express their individuality...by dressing like all other emos. black and all that lame style. they all look alike but their purpose is to be emotional and be individual

kids dress emo/goth/metal etc for the same reason kids dress preppy, metro, punk, etc:

because thats how the people they hang out with dress.

you see your favorite band dressing one way, you might copy them. some younger kid sees a bunch of people at school dressing that way and sees that they have a shirt from a band he likes, and bam, he is converted.

same for the preppy fucks: someone goes to holliser and likes a shirt they have there. buys it. people at school like it. they buy something like it.

its human nature. its natural. its healthy.
 
people do this because either they hang out with people who dress the same, want to look different/fit in depending on the situation, or dress according to the music they listen too.

It's the same with all people.
 
first of all, metal is a POLAR OPPOSITE of emo. any thrash head FUCKING HATES emos. emo is cry and be a shit pussy, metal is rage and headbanging and moshing galore. dont hate it till youve tried it.

second, who says you dress like what you listen? i dress normal, jeans n t's and a RDS hat. would you think i was metal from first sight? nope not at all. so stop conforming people to the music they listen to.

emo is one thing, goth is another, and metal is another. dont combine them

and i bet your one of those typical wigger ns white people who wears all these rasta colors and tall t's. i have a question for you: WHY?! WHY DO YOU DRESS LIKE A CLOWN? why do you dress in rasta colors when rastas are against the white man? are you against yourself?

not all people dress the way where it relates to their music.

if they do then i guess theyre expressing their music style which isnt necessary or mabye they really are comfortable in what they wear.

i think trying to look unique is overrated now. i used to think it would be awesome to look different and stand out but now i can see its just an attention seeking stunt.

anyways, society advertisers clothing, celebs advertise shit, skinny jeans a lot of people wear so they cant be called emo. celebs friggin wear them so why dont we call them emo?

seriously, whatever. who cares how they dress? you can look and make fun of them and give them shit about it but i doubt theyll stop dressing the way they do
