I think a "confidence" meter is a great idea.  Essentially, as you link tricks, land perfectly, and mix up tricks, your rider's confidence would increase, and tricks that you wouldn't normally try/land, come more naturally.  Basically, flow and rhythm should be rewarded.
I think this could tie into my idea about hitting the same jump multiple times.  As you dial in the speed, pop, and timing of a particular jump, your rider's bag of tricks increases.  Basically, trying a sw dub rodeo 10 on hit number 3 = death.  Ehh....I dunno....not sure about the specifics of this example or the execution really...but, generally acknowledging smooth and creative lines, and alternatively, absolutely owning a jump (for a photo shoot).
