Dreadlocks

Why would you do it with toothpaste??? That is why people with dreads get a bad rep for them being dirty. There is no need to use artificial products to make dreads. To tell you the truth it might have actually ruined your hair. I hate to say it but you will prolly have insects/bugs in your hair, because that is very unsanitary. I used to have a pair of dreads way back, and they were done by my two rastafari friends naturally.

But if they look good and you feel good. Righteous.
 
no it didn't ruin my hair, I just started it off waiting for my wax, and no I won't get bugs in it. Bugs and insects in your hair is just a myth I'm a very clean person I know what im doing
 
beezey I used to have dreads and I loved them, but you really will get bacteria and such in your hair using such products as toothpaste. If you do it correctly using wax and such or just backcombing this "myth" is false, however in your case there are chances or bugs and such. I am just lookin' out. Really interested in how they turned out. Post pics

dreads are fine, they clean, and good no worries

buttttt my dad suddenly thinks that i won't be able to get a job and im in vegas and hes threatening to cut them off so... dunno how long i can defend my head

haha it was just to keep the hair in its section, it washed out and my dreads are still good, so im rollin the natural way
 
I'll admit, some girls look pretty damn hot with dreads.

But, usually they look better without them.

It all depends.
 
By the way, I wasn't trying to say that you personally don't look good with them, because you're actually pretty cute.
