oh nostalgia

but yeah we've got a porcupine that hangs around our ski hill. he's pretty chill.

haha i saw a porcupine just chillin in a tree on the side of a ski run once. acted like he ran the fucking place. definitely dont fuck with them

when some dogs get hurt from a porcupine they get really pissed and don't stop until they've killed it. prime example right here haha.

My dog got "porked" by a porcupine last summer. I felt so bad for her :( but shes all good now. It happens alot more than you would think when dogs go bird hunting

I was working on a set in the woods of NH, when this woman came out of the bushes all upset asking for pliers and help. Then she showed me her dog, and it wasn't quite as bad as the one pictured in this thread, but still it was in rough shape. Took me probably 20 minutes working with my leatherman to pull the majority of them out. I think the dog bit the porcupine because she had a lot of quills inside her mouth, some even puncturing the roof of her mouth into the nasal cavity. The dog didn't really struggle at all which surprised me because I'm sure it hurt like hell. So yeah, that's my story. I had pictures of the dog somewhere, but cant find them right now.

porcupines can be bad around my area. I don't know how many times we've had to pull them out of our pups or take them to the vet. ya we had a dog get just as fucked up as that. they had to put the dog out to take them out. Usually if they are on our property they are climbing trees.... whch means target practice. Guns against quills, whose gunna win

wow try keeping your dogs in check so YOUR DOG doesn't get fucked with by any porcupines....Don't mean to sound rude but the whole guns against quills thing is mean as hell. When a dog gets quilled its sad, but its the dogs own damn fault.

we live in the woods, our dogs are allowed to be in our 9 acres of their territory. When a forgein animals comes into their territory (fine with people) they will defend it. and porcupines don't do anything good for around our house, they terrorize or they get in the road and get ran over. how is my dog being outside in their yard being a bad owner? You must live in a little suburb with with a 10 foot yard.

Like a dog needs to defend anything from a porcupine, the harmless little creatures. I live on 100 acres of field and woods and have a dog and have had to get the pliers out and go to work on him before. Porcupines terrorize? Since when?
