DEBATE 10/15/08

as opposed to just believing the opposite?

i'll trust that they are at least semi reliable but ok you're strategy sound rational.

Thats probably right. Middle class ranges from around 40k to 100k. If he's making 200k, he's more likely to be a CEO rather than a plumber.

k im not sure... but i think they are talking about the plumber that obama was talking to when he agreed with the plumber that his taxes would go up... but obama said something like we would just distribute the wealth or something...im not sure if its right tho...just putting it out there...

The upper middle class would be hit hard by Obama's taxes because it often falls right on that line where they'd get hit by the same rate as the top end, but they don't make the kind of money people like Gates and Buffet have.

ridiculous that they are wasting so much time on muckraking

this is typical republican bullshit

just to set it straight WE ARE IN AN ECONOMIC SLUMP BOTH CANDIDATES WILL RAISE TAXES

how can you pull us out by cutting taxes

Haha im not gonna just slap someone i don't know, probably wont slap anyone. I just could never see myself voting for McCain, ever.

mccain has reputed every negative statement? what about his own vp talking about his associating with a terrorist, and basically saying that obama is a terrorist.

It's funny to hear McCain talk up palin, because she's 10 times as retarded as McCain.

im fairly sure they both realized they both failed to run the "clean campaign". especially when they pointed out the nutcases at each others' rallies.

I can't decide if it's good or bad that obama is laughing at McCain when he tries to make a point against him.

which isnt really either ones fault. although in fairness ive seen obama hush people yelling things, ive never seen mccain do that

that was such a pointless question.

i think they both make good points, but i think that Obama is a more powerful speaker. I'm trying not to be biased because i do support Obama (for real reasons, not just cus other people do) and i do not like McCain's policies.

obama had nice things to say about palin and said its up to the american people to decide

mccain had about two words about biden, then launched into negative nancy rant about biden......bad

I don't know how much delay I am on. all I can say is finally...... anyone with smarts can see Obama is full of hot air...

I am on the question of the pledge of taking the high road.

now i understand why people think you are such an idiot

leave the liberal arguments and opinions to other people, if not for the sake of saving yourself the embarassment but for the sanity of others.

now, i'm not going to get into any kind of political argument because i know this thread will be 7 pages long by tommorow if its anything like the others. but, i feel like both canidates are totally side stepping some serious accusations and using irrelevant and not-nearly-detailed-enough anecdotes to prove a point. the rally accusers, the two 50 year old women, and this joe the plumber fella must be shittin themselves right now.

We need to reward people for joining health clubs? what about the people who cant afford that?

I think it's a good thing. For example, I can be sitting here wasting my life on NS and then I look up and see Obama laughing and McCain talking I just automatically assume that McCain just said something very childish and rediculous.

P.S. Obama is definitely destroying. McCain just doesn't seem like an intelligent enough person.

Do you guys realize what you are watching right now?

Let me break this down to you: This is as much as a debate as the moon is made out of cheese.

Here is why:

"The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) was established in 1987 by the Democratic and Republican parties to establish the way that debates are run between candidates for President of the United States who garner at least 15 percent support across five national polls. The Commission is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) entity as defined by Federal US tax laws,[1] whose debates are sponsored by private contributions from foundations and corporations."

Will the Third Party Candidate please stand up?

Joe the Plumber LMFAO

McCain was doing better in the beginning, i think he found a way to combine his answer while making obama respond to him rather than answer the question at hand. Obama just had to repeat the shit he's been saying and people didn't want to hear it

right now i think Obama is putting up a good back and forth

EVERYBODY LOOK! McCain has adopted the laugh-at-what-you-say technique! However, his attempt lacks confidence and a certain je ne sais quoi.

Whoa whoa

"don't pay attention to your ideological beliefs when electing someone." - John McCain

Did he just alienate 80% of his constituency?
