Dear You dumbfuckers on NS

quit talking shit about line "selling out to k2" or caling levinthal a sell out. thats complete bullshit. you guys don't even know the reasoning behind it and you guys are bitching. is it really that big of a deal? NO! so shut the fuck up. you guys remind me of girls at my highschool. K2 bought line......yeaaa ok....line skis will still be the same!

and to flyingspoon, your a dumbass.

"god damn money is everything these day."

YEA YOUR RIGHT IT FUCKING IS! to keep a company alive you have to make money, did you know that?

fuck you all that are bitching. quit following what everyone says that this is gay. and rmemeber ITS NOT THAT big of a deal

"now that lines gone...."

"levinthal sold out..."

"the factory is moving to washington...

come on kids, use some logic

Didnt K2 just buy the company that owns line? Meaning line will be the exact fucking same but owned by a different company? Their skis will probably get better too. Im pretty sure it wasnt jasons choice to be sold so i agree.

no kidding. if you kids actually knew anything it would be that k2 skis arn't even made in the factory on vashon island in washington. (well the prototypes are) but thats it.

Heath is exactly right to. its not like the skis are going to change much. if anything they will probably get better

Ok, we still really have no idea what this is all about. That will be answered on monday by J. Lev. So could we keep the speculation and bullshit to an absolute minimum until then?

haha there was a rumor going around in march about burton buying line, and jay laughed and said "i wish burton would buy us, haha i need a raise"... so i think he was a fan of this

Thank you, you guys have to remember that the majority of people on this site are high school kids with no knowledge of business, I feel sorry for Jason to have to read all this crap by kids that no nothing of the progress. like the writer of this thread said, THIS MEANS NOTHING, AHHHHHHHH please everyone do some research into things before writing your crap about selling out

haha best thread on this subject yet....sombody needed to address the retardedness of the average ns member...Line will only benefit from this merger.

i hope that's the case, this could be sick, they may bring the binding back, but better, save some acl's you know ?

The amount of speculation is keeping me from posting... but you have to admit, it's hard not to jump to conclusions.. I mean, Line was/may still be a huge symbol for newschool skiing in itself... you can't blame kids for caring...

I've been outta the loop for the last couple months...but i do like the sound of this. It actually makes sense. What's funny is the same kids moanin that LINE sold out are the same ones complaining about how they had to warrenty their delammed Invaders! ;)

True, but K2 is a very sick company too. K2 is really there when it comes to newchool skiing, they have pep. I really cannot see anything bad happening with this.

yea and that is what 95% of the kids on here are doing is just jumping to conclusions. what these kids don't know is that these skis are going to still have the line logo and the skis will most likely still be the same. only difference is k2 has them backed up financially. (and k2 gets the profits)

Let me draw a parallel story to get all the children on here to calm down.

A couple of years ago K2 bought Worr Game Products, designer and producer of the 'Autococker' paintball gun. For those who dont know the Autococker was and still is at the heart and soul of paintball. So what happened when a core company got bought out by the big evil K2 corporation?

NOTHING. Damn it they just came out with some sweet new product. The advertising didn't change, the quality didnt change, nothing changed! In fact the prices of the guns actually went down!

So turn down the main volume kids, things are gonna be okay. K2 wouldn't have bought in if they didn't see potential in the company to stay strong targeting the same 'newschooler' market. Small indy companies run by Joe 'I love to ski' Average, arnt run that well because they only know one side of business. K2 is sick at ballancing budgets, getting tax breaks, milking the system to produce the best product at the lowest cost. You see this is good for the company and the consumer, settle down.

Line will probably start making more money now b/c K2 has better marketing, which in turn lets Line put more money in development of skis

As stated above, finally a sensible thread. I can't believe some of the stuff I am reading, but then again..........

i dont even care if levinthal sold it. its still the same, hes a cool guy, line will always be down to earth, and its been sold for the right reasons.

its been said by so many people so many tomes in the past day....NOTHING WILL CHANGE! if it does it will only get better..for us and for j lev...why dont kids get this?

..and in response to the 100 "line sold out" threads, there will now be 100 more "fuck you Line didnt sell out" threads. More on this at 11.

great thread...people who actually know something about buisness will see this as a financially good move on both companies parts (well hopefully)

It's great news for me... Maybe now you'll be able to get some hands on time with their products at a regular ski shop in just about any town. I'm sure they'll be able to use the K2 distribution network which in itself will save time and money for everyone, not to mention warranty returns. I love LINe more than any other brand. I'm probably not the only one here that started out skiing then in the mid nineties switched to ski-boarding for a bit when LINE hit the market with their ski-boards... Its all been a business progression, things never stay the same. Of course, J. Lev will probably give the complete breakdown on the whole deal the positives and hopefully not sugar coat it too much and throw out the negatives too.

haha i like how one kids says soemthing, and everyone agrees, then someone says something else, and everyone else agrees.

w/e who the fuck cares anyways. is skiing fun or no?

Rossignol owns dynastar and they both are doing fine, nothing will change with line except more money to back the company.

levinthal and trak should pull the double reverse, this is where you sell your companies rights and evertything with it, do bad werk for a while, and after 6 months resign with your best staff then start another business from scratch. The ultimate line, the kids will always follow the smell of candy.
