The only content he was making recently were some wild paranoid rants on youtube while his Heli operation fell into an abyss.

I hope he stays on his medication and keeps getting help with his illness. That should be his absolute chief priority. His brain broke and led him down this destructive path... it's really sad. He might never recover, but I hope he will.

The whole story actually reminds me of my aunt... She had a serious mental break and dove headlong into wild religions and delusions... it was really hard to get her to accept treatment as her psychosis and paranoia led her to believe she was being poisoned and all this stuff.

She ended up killing someone while behind the wheel of a car and has required some serious caretaking by my cousins over the years. I could see this ending up similarly.
 
The outsideonline article about it all made it very clear that Dean was clearly suffering from what sounded like pretty severe CTE to me(bit late in life to develop schizophrenia), but I'm no medical expert.

Yeah but it also made it seem like he had some pretty serious childhood trauma that could have boiled to the surface in an odd way as well.

Mental health is fucking hard.
