D dirtybryan Member Dec 3, 2005 #8 They used to detune tips and tails before skis had side cuts. When they added side cuts your supposed to tune from tip to tail. As far as detuning, I would never spend money on it. Grab a gummy (sp?) stone and do it yourself.
