Sorry this thread belongs on facebook

Try as hard as you want to put out the fire that is regionals. I know a lot of people that don't even use facebook anymore.

Anyways. October is stacked!

-Booler's Ball premier this Friday @ the knopfinator's

-Inspired movie tour this Saturday at wild mountain

-Spirit rail jam on Saturday the 24th.

Premiere weekend was tight, also it's really fucking hot right now. Western MN was getting upper 90s. I thought it was fall? This ain't right. #globalmelting

Don't worry it was just today. Temperatures will start dropping again

I went to the Snowboard Club (and ski) at my school today and we watched Mark McDonald's snowboard movie and got free redbull. Also got a hive hat, I think that means I'm sponsored?

Did a few tricks for the first time at the spirit jam, including a front swap pretz 2 while sipping on a can of rockstar energy drink.

twas a fantastic time

Today, the first of November.

The daily weather is quite cold

Yet not cold enough for bliss.

October openings foretold

Promises fell into abyss.

Today, the first of November.

Only mostly sponsored.

I hate to be the one to say that November skiing isn't going to happen but the outlook isn't too good. I don't see low temps until at least after thanksgiving. Anyone want to grab some ice rink snow and have a little sesh soon?

What day are you heading home for thanksgiving?

Am I allowed to post in here even though I don't live in Minnesota anymore?

Couple early season tours in the bridgers and a core shot at big sky opening day. And another 4" of fresh in town today. Wheeewweee more touring tomorrow likely

If you talk about montucky just to make us jealous we will ban you even though we all love you. We aren't getting the goods here!

It snowed enough in Duluth to ski! Took some fast chester laps to get the feel back again and got after a rail just outside my dorm. Got a pic to prove I'm not a complete liar. WINTER IS HERE!

Myself, the Ginga rail ninja, and the snail took an urban trip to Ely. Ended up hitting a baby rail because there wasn't snow at my favorite of the three rails in Ely. You know the desperation is real when you drive 2 hours for a baby rail.

You got that fire shot for insta tho...so probably worth it

I think that they hit that rail in an episode of circle or potentially nice or some other old edit!

They might have if the rails got repainted since then! Otherwise me and Drew double teamed that rail for it's first time.

Just kidding. I thought you were talking about the one in Ely. That Duluth rail has been hit by everyone, sweet spot!

It snowed at my house for the first time the other day for about 10 minutes. It snowed so much you could almost see it coming down.

No but really, it seems like everywhere else is open or opening and Mt. lax and Coffee Mill aren't even close. I debated going up to Afton today but I decided against it because the park probably wouldn't be open.

Learned 270's onto the disco box at wild today! Super stoked on it

First 270s are an awesome feeling. Went to hyland yesterday and pencil was perfectly set which let me learn way too much. Got super fed both ways, blind swap front 4, 2 pretz 4, dub front swap pretz 2, first anti-crown on a real rail, tried my hand at blind 6 but opened up at 4 and had to call dominos to deliver the switch pizza.

ATTENTION MN SKIERS

I went to welch village today... they only had 2 runs open, one was just a real steep run and the other they had about 8 features set up. Tbh it was actually pretty fun and well set up. the lips were nice and just overall the features were fun. I will probs be going again later in the year to see how the jibs are. I think that they are going to have a good park with some nice jibs this year. Idk what they are going to do about jumps tho

TLDR: welch had good jibs and i bet they will have even better jibs later in the year with their rope tow that they are adding

TLDRTLDR: it was nice

I'm planning on going skiing this weekend whether coffee mill or mt lax are open or not, so what mountains around here currently have the best park? Debating going to Afton, Hyland, Welch, Kato, etc

Hyland is going to be super crowded and have their rope up, also a lot of features but they're becoming the devil. Afton looks fun right now, they might have their rope park up soon. Kato is pretty average and kinda crap, Welch has a horrible recent history but I haven't seen pics to determine if they've changed. Troll is on fire though.

Troll is just too far :/

Hyland was super fun today and also not an ice rink. Coincidence? I got back fours and fives with a grab back. Im trying to get out of this habit of skiing the same exact line for an hour or more. That kind of repetition seems to make it much harder to ski creatively. If you see me call me out. I'm trying to make new skiing friends because everyone I used to ski with has either gone off to college or quit. I'm usually in a grey yoke sweater with black snow pants... Sometimes with a black jacket unzipped over the sweater. O also I hardly ever ski with any kind of hat goggles or helmet so that should make it easy to identify me

Well I found out that I am just straight dumb and Troll is actually only about 2 hours away, so it looks like that's where I'll be going Saturday or Sunday. Who else is going up there this week?

Gonna try to get out Sunday, Saturday gets a little busy with kids and shit. If you like to drink and ski come out for late nights on Fridays, 15$ for a ticket after 10pm open 3am it gets icey but who cares its a blast out there.

So I guess were going to granite peak now and I hear they didn't have shit up last week. Does anyone know of they'll have more this weekend?

Hit a small down rail that was already set up. Scary as hell because the inrun and outrun were sheer ice since the slush froze over. Didn't even hit it for a shot, I just did it to get my confidence back for sketchy conditions.

But... did you even do it if you didn't get the shot?

Front 2'd out of the up down at spirit. Pretty stoked for that! Also got blind 2's back and am getting way more comfy spinning boxes. Hopefully I'll get front swaps down soon.

spirit this weekend = lit boi

It's too lit. After a very long battle today finally got de blind swep pretz 4. Stoked on everyone going full brower with disasters on the flat down flat, that's a burly hit.

Granite was absolutely amazing! 20 features definitely wasn't an understatement and they had one small, but nice jump. I got a couple of shots but my gopro died after the first few runs bc I was too lazy to charge it
