Afton today

Going to see if I can get any fresh snow.

There's a good 3 inches at my house, and Afton's only 10 minutes away.
 
skied about 7" of pow at hyland this morn

their new double barrel is legit

their laser eye safety thing on the rope is not

overall was definitely worth my $27

 
Well I was sitting on the side of jump today smoking a cig at Troll. The Rope is packed with people, Matt Halverson gets on the rope, and it snaps.... hahahahaha Wont have a rope at troll for a few days.

went with some friends to wild today, hit some backcountry pow and attempted to dig the picnic table box out of the ground on quarterrabit and make a wallride out of it.
 
Who all skis Afton? I'm done with finals Thursday, got a pass for Afton/Mt. Kato. Just was told my job no longer needs me to work for December-January so I am going to be out there quite often.

Kato has been really fun in the 3 days I have been there. Some real cool guys out there. Some racer kid sprayed 4-5 going mach 3 through about 10-15 kids. I had a little fun calling him out/embarrassing him in front of his racer friends.
 
1.I hang out with very few kids from Osceola, and the ones I do hang out with are graduated from highschool, as am I.

2.It's my own personal choice, and yes I know it's bad for me, but then again, so is just about everything else in this world.

3.You have always been negative towards me, and I have no idea why.

 
I saw you guys setting that up. I'm the skier with the black and white jacket and purple/black/white face mask.
 
I was saying that because it seems like there used to be tons of younger snowboarders there that were always gaping and smoking. I just thought it was weird that you added that part to your post. No negativity intended. And as far as my brother breaking the rope, Great going idiot!

Learned some pretty sick variations of surface swaps and butters on the FD box at cascade. pretty stoked.
 
What do you do when you're surface spinning? Keep both feet perfectly level or lift your outer leg slightly or what? Everytime I catch my outer leg. And this is on a pipe rail.
 
i can only surface sw up, im scared shitless to try a reg one.

i try and keep my feet super close together right before i get to 50-50 pick a foot to spin on. i slide left foot forward and lets say im doing a bs sw up. i barely have any pressure on my front foot and just spin solely on my back foot(right) until i come around enough to put a little more pressure on my uphill, now left foot. the hard part is staying on the rail w. one foot at sw 50-50.

i still don't have the balls to try it on anything more than crouch height
 
yea i kinda do that. but i guess i kind of do the swap fast so i dont catch the rail as easily. also i just snap my feet together for that instant im 50-50 and then once i get on the other side just get to a regular stance
 
It's possible, but not likely.

In response to Joshy G (don't wanna keep quote/replying to things from 5 days ago), Travis is not negative toward anybody unless you are a real idiot (or in this case, a snowboarder from Osceola) but even then he would keep it to himself. He's just not usually very outspoken. So I wouldn't worry about it. :)

Fun day at trollhaugen. seshed the poop tube, down bar and played tranny finder for 3 hours straight. re learned a few tricks today that im happy with.
 
Frustrating handrail session. Fun, fuck around night at spirit. Good times with some good friends! Very long day..
 
Went to Troll right away this morning, rode there for 9 hours, seshed the poop rail and hand rail and spine almost the whole time.

Then went too wild, and had a ton of fun. Seriously my first Good experience riding at Wild mid-season. Props to the Wild Park Crew. The big park is X-Games status, but the small park is super fun and reminds me of Hyland.
 
I feel like I saw some one Thursday at afton. He had an ashamed crew or what ever sticker. Aftons jump line is pretty sick right now with three jumps made

Hip is still fucked up. but had a lot of fun today! Continuing to attempt to learn something new every time I ski, or at least do something I haven't done in a while.
 
Awesome day of skiing. Slashed the fresh Duluth powder this morning, then made the trek home to the cities. Stopped in at summit to ride for a couple hours, had a blast on their setup. Unfortunately I ended up snapping one of my skis :( Other than that, great day.
