Daily throw down 2010-2011

Well Valhalla, Trollio's terrain park, is opening friday. On friday we are also open til 3am. if you come at 10pm tickets are only $15. Im sure ticket prices will be regular price, we are nearing being fully open.

annnd ripped our backyard tonight at the GHP house! got enough snow to setup our handrail and our corg tubes. had a real fun time. kinda drunk tho, so didn't go tooo crazy. but tomorrow, gonna be another sesh! snows comin down harddddd in duluth. get stoked!

 
Afton will be opening tomorrow at 3pm. No solid info on a setup, but pressure is on for getting the mailbox out. They usually go with a two hit line on the bunny hill, gonna be fun! Come out and ripppp
 
Picking up my pass today. Probably won't be out tomorrow because it is supposed to be crazy sketchy weather. This weekend I will be ooot and aboooot
 
Great day at Troll! I learned unnatural 270 on pretzel out and we did our first backflips of the season!
 
Hit a C dfd rail with the Flanagans, got it my second try and I got my new boots ordered. Successful day!
 
dude I thought I told you what happens at afton stays at afton! GOSH!
On that note i did some surfance spinner thangs on the down mail box at afton, t'was fun.

and afton was fun. very good turnout. very fun setup. i believe its safe to say nate kranz was the ripper of the day. he absolutely killed it.

boarded at troll yesterday, setup was pretty good. I even strapped on my skis for the first time and was able to pull off some nice gaper status airs
 
Hyland is looking legit on the webcams. 3 large pads, although they will probably ruin it by putting up worthless features.
 
Baby flat box, DFD box, Mailbox, then choice of either A-frame rail, or baby down rail. Definitely worth going, afton did it right.
 
Hyland was fun although the features they put out were horrible. Skied there from 10-3, left hit a super sick bomb drop with Hibbs and Mitch, then hit a sketchy handrail, Mitch hurt his wrist(I think he had a hairline fracture) so we left after that then I skied Hyland till close with Johnny. Super sick day overall!
 
Hyland stepped it up today! They added their new 30ft shotgun rail, a 20 ft flat box and the banana rail. They also got the rope up!
 
went to hyland for my first real day skiing here and got my pretzels, switch on kfeds and switch on 4 outs back, couldn't ask for a better day
 
Its been dumping snow good here in Duluth.. I don't know where you guys all live on the hillside or what not but we have gotten quite a bit of snow up on top of the hill overnight and today
 
Yeah, i live about halfway up the hill. We've got enough here to have a 2-hit line at our house. Downrail to down-flat corrugated. yeeeeyahhh
 
went skiing at trysil a week ago..... yeah had some sick world cup rossignol skis. tried to do a 3 in the kiddie park and the binding popped off on takeoff. lol rental skis.
 
will spirit be worth the drive from the cities this weekend? only place im getting a pass this year and i have a hard time spending $30 on cratered out hyland or $41(wtf is this CO?) at troll.
 
Why not ski Hyland? They have already have a lot up and the big park is opening within the next few days.
 
Thats a pretty average Full Day tickt price around here. Wild Mountain is $41 too, Afton Alps is $41 as well. So dont be complaining about the price. You have to take into consideration that we are Fully open, as Wild is as well.
 
yeah just checked around some more and $41 seems to be the going rate...i guess i still cant get over the fact that places in the cities charge as much for season passes and almost as much for lift tickets as most places out west. somebody's making a killing. spirit seems to be the only place who realizes $400 for a season pass (at a place my taxes already pay) for basically for a rope tow is ridiculous.

i'll prob just go to hyland sat or sun until spirit has a little more open.

sorry for the rant, just been itching to get out more often and the wallet says otherwise.
 
Front swivel back twosev on the 50footer at troll. and Nugget 180 out on the 50. relearned switch hardway two sev on. relearned switch right 5s too.
