so it seems you have the reading comprehension of an ant.

You realize i mentioned "partying" once...and last. Yet somehow you read that and comprehended that partying was the main message of my post. you must have scored around a 100 on the reading portion of the SATs...ami right?

And I truly believe that college provides much more of a social education than any academic education. If you have graduated you may not 100% agree with this, but you know exactly where i am coming from. Before you get butthurt, answer: have you graduated college?

You go to DU. You are as douchey, if not douchey-er than Boulder kids. Plus probably dumb as fuck.

And fuck Denver and the Front Range. Yes, that shit is cool if you're from the mid-west/east coast. If not, then shit is mediocre at best.

If you want a real insight on this, other than what these ignorant faggots have to say about greek life - feel free to message me.

It's a good way to network for the future and have a good time during your college years. Joining a fraternity doesn't force you to have to be best friends with only those kids throughout college. y'all do a bunch of great service work, etc. through greek life. Ignore the stereotypes, because everyone who talks shit about it has never been in with it or pledged, its all bullshit stereotypes.

Dude. Pledge. Don't go through college as a fucking geed, you'll regret it. Sorority girls are the shit and having brothers is fucking awesome.

Because apparently at CU you can only get in if you're in another frat. Therefore you have to pay a frat to get into a frat party.

im talking about frat partys, acourning to people in this thread you can only get in to a frat party at cu if your in another frat. ive never been to any other school like that, and with that "rule" you'er only going to meet other kids who are also in frats. therefore you pay money to hang out with other kids who pay money.

Dude.... You weren't invited to the party... get over it.

Unless you go to a school where frats dominate, being in greek life means you have to pay for friends.

Not necessarily. I decided to rush my junior year after being quite close with most of the guys in the fraternity already, as well as having a pretty big friend group outside of the greeks as well. I felt like I needed to get involved with campus life a little more, and community hours never look bad on a resume.

So far I've met some awesome people and immediately after I was initiated, I received friend requests from alumni in the same field I'm expecting to go into. My advice to anyone looking to rush a fraternity would be to take your time and actually get to know the guys first, also have an idea of what you want to get out of it beforehand. Don't be that guy who only pledges to party and get laid; the douchebag.

Look for a house where you feel as if you fit in, and the brothers respect you. (and dont gay-haze). Then look into other things like the national philanthropy, notable alumnus and the chapters percieved image on campus. How will you be able to use this to have the best college life experience possibly?

Being in a fraternity is an absolute blast and it's changed my life for the better. Have fun!
