Crystal Mountain 2011-2012

Is this where we talk about how fakn awesome Xtal is and why everyone should go there for the sick as fuck terrain and all time stoke meter? FUCK YEA BITCHES!
 
You must be fucking confused. Crystal mountain can suck my dick. Place is full of dickwads. Only at Crystal Mountain can I ride up the gondola (They fucking made us, fucking stupid thing) and some guy with H2O heli guide skis and a helmet/sunglasses is bitching about how the gondola doesnt have wifi service. If the gondola had wifi service id send that guy a text with a dick picture, stand up in the gondola and yell "HEY I NOTICED YOU LOVE DICKS, PLEASE SUCK ME OFF"~
 
you should have hot boxed the fuck out of that gondola car, i'd like to see what he would have done about that.

on a side note, i am fucking stoked for this season at crystal. haters gon' hate, but thats fine by me, go ski at snoqualmie and leave the pow for me. . . and all the gapers that follow me around.

But, I just ski blue groomers, and I only really go skiing for the hot guys. Are there hot guys at Crystal?
 
why do you need to rain on our parade? i never said it was going to stick and stay around, i just meant that it is the first time it is in the forecast, so winter is getting closer
 
alright, billy has put the idea in my mind, so let us all have a reality check:

October is a big tease. The first snows will melt. It is fun because it is getting close. That said, a lot of early snow may, in fact, be inauspicious.

i was talking to a friend who lives in greenwater and he said that they are making snow this entire month. he told me that they are planning on opening early november/late october. this was a while ago though so i dont know if this is actually going on, anyone else hear rumors like this?
 
Yeah I heard this yesterday too. I heard they got like 8 more blowers and they are making snow up at Rex as well as at the bottom and shooting for a Thanksgiving opening. Not sure how much of that is truth, but there is obviously something going on.
 
I'm stoked as well. But I have to sell tickets on opening day, one of the downsides to working at the mountain. So I won't be able to shred until like 1 O'clock.
 
Yea, I'm done with ticket sales... going skiing after everything is tracked out = no bueno. Although weekdays there was usually still fresh snow no matter what time you go up... did you work up there previous years?
 
Marcus.... I think I railed a curb with him in my car last year giving him a ride down from the mountain haha, if it's the same marcus I'm thinking of
 
For better or for worse, the terrain at the mountain is becoming increasingly accessible... skins are nice, but realistically theres not that many places you can go anymore that aren't serviced by a chair lift *or at least a small traverse/hike away from the chairlift*, and that leads to most of the mountain being well chopped up by 11.30~ *on a weekend* which is about when you get off on an average day of ticket sales. I'm not trying to be too pessimistic, just saying... that's what happens
 
true, but you can always venture out even farther weather and snow permitting, if you know the area. Bullion basin and sourdough gap are dope.
 
anybody know what the story with the park is this year? i heard some rumors (not really from credible sources, but whatever) that there wasnt going to be a park and that boyne was going to move all the jibs to snoqualmie
 
They are having a park this year. One of my friends was bragging about getting on the park crew and he got offended when I asked him what park.. Ha they are just keeping all the jibs from last year. The park manager moved to Snoqualmie and they wouldn't let him take all the jibs that he built himself with him.
 
He just moved to Snoqual like to work in the park, because I thought Erik worked at Snoqual last year..
 
Wonderful, if we don't move to Leavenworth my bf and I are going to work at the Summit, and he'll be on park crew there. But we hope to move to Levy.

but like everyone else has said, Crystal has great terrian, some cool people but mainly old gapers. Just ignore them and they will ignore you. You should really check Crystal out. Im working up there this winter hopefully. Im training the first 2 weekends of December so im about to live up there this season. so stoked!!!
