Got got a D3300 and filmed this the other day with my friend. I used a tripod to try and keep it stable, but any tips would be appreciated. Please dont hold back.

Like most edits I see on here, I would work on the B-Roll. It's not going to make the video better to have good b-roll, but it's going to make it worse if its not good. Mainly I thought the opening few shots were too long.

The skiing stuff was fine, it will get better with practice (smoother movement)

And when he says I'm going to go huge on the spread eagle, show him going huge on the spread eagle!

Skiing good start, just need to make the rest flow a little smoother.

Also, make sure you're in focus, or don't use the shot

Changed it up a bit, does this edit work better any critiques are appreciated.

You should use a picture style of

Sharpness: 0

Contrast: -6

Saturation: 0

Color Tone: 0

This will not crush the blacks and will make it easier to color correct in post. In post when you use this picture style though than you will have to add sharpness of about 3.

Overall pretty good and you should think about getting a glide cam for follow cams

You seem to have a firm grasp of the basics. Try to focus on developing a more distinct style to make your edits stand out. I would also suggest a different font

Not true, everything you choose to include in a video has an inflection on the quality of the video itself. Good B-Roll shots will certainly increase the video quality.

If you want to take the route of different picture styles, you have to download them online and install them with EOS Utility. Simply changing the values doesn't help much, internet picture styles actually have curves that you can't replicate by inputting values into the camera. I use and recommend the Marvels Cinestyle.
