The .5 seconds that you hear the whizzing of incoming ordinance must be the strangest feeling....... Just living life SSSSSSSSSSSCH...nothing.

I hate all war. Drop cliffs not bombs. Had one risque saying to add but feel I would of been baned if I added it.

I always wonder where those buildings come from and what there original purpose was when they were made.

Pretty weird to think that the guy with the camera's praying to the same god that the pilot who dropped the bomb is praying to. Fuck war.

Anyone else think its a lil funny their shooting small arms at jets, waste of ammo and giving away their location, these are the people obama wants us to be allied with

What ever this whole thing turns into is going to be stupid. These guys are affiliated with Al qaeda

Ya it's a pretty bad idea obviously. The chances of you bringing down or even putting one bullet in a jet are pretty slim, while it's pretty much guaranteed that jet will kill you.

And your political statement, dude stop.

No, it's a terrible attempt at a political statement in which you're trying to pass off the idea that Obama (even though he's leaving it up to CONGRESS and the U.N. to vote on the matter) should not get involved with the rebellion because of this one clip that shows how ordinary people who have no money and can only get their weapons through smuggling fight their government... a government that is pretty well equipped.

If you were not trying to make a political statement then you wouldn't include politics in your statement you Glenn Beck, cock-sucking retard.

"I'm not making a statement, nor am I fear-mongering... I'M JUST ASKING QUESTIONS! I'M A CONCERNED U.S. CITIZEN THAT CRIES WHENEVER I TALK ABOUT THIS SENSITIVE BULLSHIT! Buy my book."

It's just an odd concept to think about, at least to me. I'm really not paying to much attention to the war, but as far as I'm aware, religion is not a driving factor behind it. At the same time, it is odd that these two men believe in the same god, yet kill each other for political reasons. I guess it's the same as many previous civil wars, in the U.S. you had brothers killing brothers, perhaps in Syria this is the same case, with some brothers on side with the rebels, and some on side with Assad. I don't know, I'm just rambling now haha.

Yeah, it's so WEIRD that people would be against their government that is based on brutal dictatorship even though they all read from the same religious doctrine!

Wow, it's like... we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto!

really? I thought that if you so much as tossed a quarter into a jet engine it will tear itself apart...the chances of hitting it are abysmal but what if it hit the engine?

Look up damage pictures of aircraft like the a-10 or f-15.

Planes can take a beating. There was a DHL Airbus A300 (passenger jet converted for cargo) that took a hit from a surface to sure missile over Baghdad in 2003 and still managed to land safely.

Planes are tougher than you think

Air superiority wins.

All good old USA needs to do is create a no-fly zone over the country or just bomb the Syrian airbases. That'd change the tides of this conflict in a huge way. It's worked before.

It is, in part, a religous war.

Assad's regime is alawite which is a shia monority, while the vast majority of the country is shiite(or vice versa?). Assad has put into power almopst strictly alawite folks who have treated the majority people like shit.

Its not the only reasons for this war, but it is one of the main things they are fighting over.

I've seen this in a few places now and I wish someone could help me understand how this is even possible.

Assads forces- basically 100% syrian

Rebel forces- Multinationals, majority is not syrian

I understand that assad is a dictator, but wouldnt it not make sense to help a ton of multinationals take over a country? We'd be giving an international presence to extremists organizations. Then again, this whole thing doesnt make sense.

Just looking for an explanation

You should be looking for legitimate sources before you begin your search for explanations... man, you're a fucking idiot.

Well in that case I would love to see you back that up with some sources, because everything I'm reading says that the rebel forces are made up of dozens different backgrounds, like iranian kurds, the iraqi al-qaeda , the ANF, sunni muslims and even europeans.

Also heres an actual source backing my question, so fuck off.

"Since the beginning of the conflict in Syria in early 2011, we estimate that around 2,000-5,500 foreign fighters have gone to Syria to fight with opposition forces"

http://www.washingtoninstitute.org/policy-analysis/view/european-foreign-fighters-in-syria

That was just like that moment when you see a predator missile coming at you in blops... Except shit just got real here...

according to wikipedia it means something like 'god is greater', or 'god is the greatest'

jeesh, religion is so damn ghey
