Corey Vanular leaves Faction

So yesterday Corey posted this on his insta, saying that hes now looking for a ski sponsor and is asking who people could see him riding for. Its too bad, I thought he fit damn well with Faction as he kills it on

another level.

So, where does NS think hes gonna go to?

I can totally see him with a brand like Batalla, ON3P, Icelantic or maybe even Surface. Can't really picture him with a brand like Line, K2, Atomic or Volkl.

I agree, I could see him skiing for someone like Surface or Icelantic

I don't think the ski industry works that way, you don't get sponsored by a company just because your friend is on their team.

I really couldn't see Vanular with line regardless. When I think "skiers who ski for line" I don't think of Corey.

But when I think "Skiers who ski for Moment/ON3P/Surface/Icelantic" I could definitely see him there

true, armada's the only company I could see him with. Then again, who thought wallisch would sign with line? It's still weird even though I love Line and wallisch, but it's just a strange fit

Actually think it does. If the guys at Line know Corey and like his skiing and Max tells them that he wants to ride for them, then Corey will probably get on Line.

pretty much this. As much as we can say "pay the skiers you sponsor", the ski industry is a pretty brutal industry, and in the end the skier should want to ride the ski that makes them ski their best. It's tough to side with the ski companies or the riders, I blame it on Vail taking all the money that goes into our sport. Let's just all blame it on vail?

I'm not saying it doesn't weigh in at all but I don't think line will put "be sure to put out lots of banger edits with Max" in Corey's contract but either way I really couldn't see him on line. Like other people said maybe on3p/Icelantic/surface

Faction had him as an AM rider. Someone pay vanular God damnit. There is NO reason he should just be getting flowed product.

I don't think most NSers realize how little money a lot of smaller brands have for sponsoring pros. As much as everyone on NS knows about and follows people like Corey, a vast majority of those that purchase skis don't know of any pro skier except maybe Seth Morrison and perhaps the winners of the Olympics and X-Games. Unfortunately, a lot of pro skiers don't influence people on which skis they should purchase. So when you combine that with small sponsorship budgets, there will always be a lot of Corey Vanular types that won't ever get paid much, if at all. Not saying it's right, but that's the reality.
 
Vanular will always be inspirational, regardless of whoever hes going to be riding for. Whoever picks him up is going to make some money, and get some kids stoked on their product.

Think for a second the number of people above the flow level that are getting paid and Corey isnt. Cvan drops fire content on the regular which receives so many god damn views and certainly aggressively affects buying decisions. Just sayin
 
I think Faction should give him a new pro team contract.

With the right opportunities he's proven before that he can be a game changer in skiing, an innovator and someone who will progress the sport. He connects with fans on instagram and facebook as well as any pro I've seen. Why he hasn't been paid his worth sooner I can't understand.

same shit happened when twall was riding on blanks
