Contradictions in the Bible (nardt) info graphic

I like to think of it like this,
God, if real, doesn't want us to know whether it exists or not on the simple matter that if it does we'll just be like, O RLY? HEAVEN? OKAI and then kill ourselves. Thats not what its about. Its more about using the faith we have in religion/God to live good lives.
And like I said before, people tend to skew the point that the bible/Quran/Torah is trying to make. They're all just different versions of "How to Live a Good Life for Dummies."
More to the point, Thug, I respect your opinion on the existence of God/A Higher Power, but let it be. We're not discussing God, we're discussing contradictions in the bible.
That and God/Allah/etc. are all just labels for the omniscient creator that all religions believe in.
Leave it at that and get back to the discussion of why the hell the bible contradicts itself so much.

All religions don't believe in an omniscient creator. It was already made clear in this thread why the bible contradicts itself. It was written and rewritten by many different people over a long period of time. Also, I think it's worth adding that those books are so much more than simple how-to guides.

They're full of history, myth, parables, etc. Not all of it is conducive to living a good life. That said, much of it is. I'm atheist but I find the teachings in those and other religious books very interesting.

really? i'm assuming you mean not all religions believe in an omniscient creator... but who are you thinking of? Pagan gods/goddesses?
