College isn't all that bad, but it has its downsides. Mainly the money, I am paying for myself...out of state add ontop of that I pay for all my living expenses myself, my bills, rent and groceries, I am the defenition of a poor student. Whoever is doing, or has done this knows how much this truly sucks. I am almost 20 and now am $26,000 in the hole. My reason for finishing is to pay off my debt. School and a job cut my skiing time down severly, this year I've skied 2 days in Whistler, and 5 here. Small sacrifice like someone said. Every employer today looks for someone with a degree. Neither of my parents finished college and both have insane amounts of experience, but getting another job after being laid off is not easy, even though you have more than enough qualifications for a job, and are the best person interviewed for it, doesn't mean you for sure have this job in the bag...missing a degree glares in the face of an employer.
Whoever quoted playboy for the best colleges wasn't talking about the best party schools apparently. The University of Idaho has had the top forever, they aren't even included in that list anymore.
