College acceptance thread 2012/13

I know not much is happening yet with getting in, but what schools are you guys applying to? Which ones are your top choices?
 
Top choice is McGill, it's basically my dream school. Also applying to U of T, Queens, and UBC.

Also Priceton, but that's to see if I have a chance.
 
MSU, (if anyone could tell me the acceptance rate of it if you dont quite meet the standards that would be great)
 
Brown University, Boston College, Boston University, University of Massachusetts, New York University, Colgate University, Cornell University, University of Southern California, Hofstra University, Vanderbilt University, George Mason University, Carnegie Mellon, and University of Melbourne. Jesus Christ, fourteen applications plus some are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Colgate, tiny in the middle of absolutely nowhere. USC, massive and in Los Angeles. Good luck.
 
mcgill for me too, apps and all submitted. also applying to ubc, umich, udub, cornell, and all the upper tier uc's(im in california)
 
top choice is mit, i'm also doing uw madison, ann arbor, and possibly cornell. i'm also applying to ubc and mcgill as backup
 
I know Montana State University (next to BigSky I might add) gives out bitchin' scholarships for SAT's and ACT's. I got about a quarter ride, but still couldnt afford the out of state tuition. Now Im stuck in Ohio still.
 
Mcgill is a super fun school! And Montreal is the tits! Definitely live on campus first year, make some friends and move into an apt with them next year. Do yourself a favor though and actually move out of the school ghetto
 
I have been accepted to the CCAF, the largest college in the world, by successfully passing enlistment requirements into the united states air force.

one application, PSU. I'll either move back from Germany and be on main campus, or if I raise enough money to start racing here in Europe, I'll be doing my degree through the world campus (online campus).
 
I plan on applying to UBC, UofC, possibly Western and UVic. Wish eastern Canada wasn't such a shithole though, otherwise I would be applying to a lot more out east.
 
brown is awesome. the setting is sweet, the kids are definitely odd but nice, all the professors are super qualified and interesting since it's an ivy but it doesn't feel like an ivy in the way the other ivies do. it's super chill and relaxed and nobody's hard charging and trying to compete with you for every little thing

also being an athlete here is awesome. i could see it being hard to find a niche since there's so much free time and so many people, but i guess that's the case at any school
 
Absolutely false. Just because you're 14 years old and your mother went to BC does not mean that it is better than the other 13 on his list. It also greatly depends on what one's intended major is. Regardless, BC is certainly not tops. A good school, but nowhere near the best.
 
I am so excited to start applying to universities this year! I'm planning on applying to UBC, UofT, McGill in Canada and then possibly King's College London, St Andrews, Durham, and the University of Edinburgh in the UK.

As of right now, my top pick is UBC though :D
 
Applying to U of U and Westminster. I'll probably also apply to Sierra Nevada as a back up but its really small so I dont really want to go there.

Also applied to University of Denver, University of Minnesota- Twin Cities and University of MN- Duluth
 
University of Guelph, probubly UBC, and possibly laurier and western. If i don't get in anywhere im gunna go to whistler U and get learned in life.

Hey don't hate on Colgate. I go here and I fucking love it, although it is in the middle of nowhere. As long as the campus vibe fits you, you don't really need to be in a city. I also applied to Vanderbilt (which is literally on the EXACT opposite of the spectrum) and I would have been absolutely fine going there. I am not a fan of applying to all similar schools, but that's just my 2 cents.
