College acceptance thread 2012/13

most early decisions come back in december and regular comes back in march or april, so it's the same. some schools have rolling admissions though so they can let you like 2 weeks after you apply

Religious but not - tell me that isn't a huge contradiction. Thank you for an actual response though, the other guy just pmed me and called me a bitch and other names that would get me banned. I wasn't trying to start an argument, he pretty much said NE schools were shit and I was attempting to fight for them (although I now realize that I fucked up pretty bad).

Maybe the safety school statement was a little far, but it's definitely within reach for me. I have a GIEP, 33 ACTs, solid coursework, sports, and a shit ton of extra curricular clubs. I also have relatives that graduated there, so I have the legacy thing as well.

accepted to university of tennessee, that 2 for 2. hear from U of Illinois on friday, it might break my streak...

Keene state is awesome.. especially freshman yearpm me if you or anyone else has questions

also, look into Pumpkinfest- its a pretty big deal here

I haven't followed this argument but if any of you ladies/fellas want to get into BC its easy as pie IF (big if) you apply to the divinity school (religion) or social work. THose programs take everyone and its an automatic acceptance.

THe other shit is tough but you can always change programs/majors to something legit.

Just in case this helps anyone who wants to go there.

Don't be a douche

My sister just got into Michigan. Now if I can just figure out how to set her up with Torin Yater-Wallace, I'll be all set.

ik man, it literally looks like hogwarts and there are a ridiculous amount of babes for being a small school if anyone else is applying here let me know!

Anyone else get into honors at northeastern or know anything about the international village there. I toured the school but never checked out the honors housing.

I just read the whole argument and basically saw you swapping from saying the west has better schools than the east to saying the east has better schools than the west. Then you basically go on to tell people that they need to do research into the rankings of colleges like you have done. Bravo! You looked up like three internet articles that somewhat back up your argument, an argument that is entirely unoriginal and based around another persons work. Clearly you need to do your research. Some of the things you have said are just opinions that you've based around what you've heard about a school. You say that Middlebury is for rich snobby kids, which is just not true. Middlebury has grown to be known as a phenomenal school that incredibly intelligent kids go to. Although I don't think comparing it to other schools matters, I know kids who turned down places like Harvard and Dartmouth to go to it. But enough about the names of colleges. I honestly don't think that the name matters when you are choosing a school, but clearly you do. I can tell that you are the type of kid who puts more emphasis on the reputation surrounding the name of a school than the actual experience of going. If you really think that college is all about getting to put a bumper sticker on your car that shows others how "accomplished" you are, you probably went to a school so your mommy and daddy could impress their friends when they name drop where you're spending 4 years of your life. You need to step back and re-asses why you chose the college you're currently at. Go to a place that you're gonna be happy at, where you will be able to do what you want, in a location where you will not be miserable. But congratulations! You went to a college on some "top 50" list, which in your mind entitles you to come on Newschoolers and try to sound intelligent. You may feel proud of what you've done, but anyone who has followed you're argument on the last four pages of this thread realizes you're just an arrogant kid.

Whoa bro, you really need to calm down. Let's take some deep breaths: inhale... keep inhaling ... keep inhaling.... good, now slowly exhale. ahhhh. Now doesn't that feel good?

duuuude same. I got a scholarship to go with it too so im pretty pumped! let me know when you make a decision.
