I need to bend some FKS to fit 113mm waisted ski. I have no tools or anything and have never done it before. Anyone got some experience doing it and want to do mine for beer?

Porters said they couldn't bend them. I brought mine in and they said I would have to buy new brakes to fit them over Motherships.
But, I'm just gonna find someone on here to bend them for my new Rubies.

For liability reasons, no shop can bend brakes further than the manufacturers say you can bend them (which is usually no more than 5mm).

No shop will do it because they're skurred of getting sued. I've done two sets, one for my Ants (about 110 underfoot) and the other for a 92mm waisted ski and it's pretty easy. You shouldn't have a problem doing it yourself. All you have to do is completely disassemble the binding and completely remove the steel brakes (be really careful taking the spring off because it's sharp on each end and will happily take an eye out if you let it as it is under alot of tension) and then find a vise and bend them with a broken ski pole. Basically the vise is the only tool you need besides a screw driver. I used the vise on the back of a city maintenance truck when it was parked infront of my place and it worked fine. Good luck. Also, I'll bet the TGR forums have a more detailed explanation with pictures if you search over there. They love those bindings as much as they love making tutorials.

Knowing my general lack of knowledge in any area of workmanship, I'd rather pay someone on here to do it or get Porters to do it.
Knowing me, I would lose the spring or some shit like that.

Porters bent my 80mm out to 95mm for free...don't really know what you guys are talking about...but next time they say walk down the block or across the parking lot and buy a six pack, walk back and ask again. They will do it.
