My God, right there I just stopped reading because that is so incredibly untrue. Wow... just wow... He's been injured sooooo much more than you can even begin to think. At one point he was out for a full year because he broke a bone in each wrist that takes 6 months to heal each. He's had countless surgeries on his knees (basically everything you could destroy in your knees, he has), concussions, broken bones, shoulder injuries... it goes on man. Why do you think he picked up ralley racing and layed off the super-x and freestyle? That's right because of injuries. Ralley racing is a fun way for him to slowly get back into moto-x and all it's aspects. Truth be told, Pastrana is one of the most punished athletes in any sport and I personally have no idea how much longer he's going to last. What I can say is that he still dominates freestyle even though he's not even in it at 100 percent and that's damned amazing. All that emotion between him and his parents, that was real. This was the only trick Travis was not psyched about attempting. Him and everyone else close to him knew that this could end up with him in the hospital, wheelchair or even a coffin. When he first attempted the double it was on a stepup, not a double jump. Even on the stepup he was very scared, bailing numerous times after the first rotation. The double backflip should not have been done as clean as it was, and everyone who knows what's going on knows that including Pastrana. The double backflip may never be done again, because the risk factor is just incredibly high and that is some emotion right there man. He actually told his mother that he loved her before he went out to try it. You may not think he's all that great because of all the hype x-games puts on him, but truth be told he's not a super hero, he's human and he can break but the determination and skill he has is only found in a very, very, very few people.
