Calling you out X-Games

Just thought I would bring this back, everyone thought it was just the weather, but look at last year. The weather was perfect, and they still had speed issues at the top of the course, a lot of the guys hated it and didn't even take their runs. So, this year, will they have a shitty slope style course for the 3rd year in a row, or will they finally have a good one?

not at all, did you ski that course? sucked huge cocks, i was soooooooo much more impressed by the comp runs after i skied the course, cuz it was such a piece of crap, i couldnt believe they landed such legit tricks on it, you had to jump like 5 feet high off the lip to get close to the landings, showing how good those pros are at popping, but not how good they are at doing tricks, hopefully aspen wont shit the bed again

ha, i thought this thread was about '07, the kid who made this thread was 100% right, the jumps were impossible to clear again in '07, too bad x-games has to be about advertising money and not progressing our sport

i have never really heard of speed problems on that course. one of my friends lives in aspen in the winter and he has never told me anything about being slow. and plus, wasnt the jump in 06 a 60 footer and in 07 it was like a 75?

If anyone saw it, there was a HUGE storm that put a lot of snow on the courses. So what, big deal, life goes on. It was still a sick show

NO the origional post was about the x-games in 06 were fresh snow on the course made it impossible to compete on. The skiers however commented during practice that the course was slow and it was hard to carry speed even when the course had prime snow. So they did a best trick contest. I made this post asking why the x-games, our most publicized event can have a slow, which in turn makes it shitty, course and who is in charge of making it. However everyone just called me a retard and said it was just because of the weather. Now, after another x-games and ANOTHER SLOW COURSE, I want to know who makes the course so that I can ask them why, why do they get the job to make this coures when they clearly suck at it.

you are right that the boarders had speed issues and that was if they fell or landed poorly or something. if you watch the guys like shaun white who did the 1080's he was fine it was pretty much like any jump line. mess up and you pry won't have enough speed to make the next jump

O rly, I was wondering why they did they for only boarders last year. I think the skier big air with a good jump will be 10 times wilder. Look the JOI and U.S. open last year. It was going down last year, hope thisk year is the same.

Let me try to help you. When you work your ass off training and work you whold life towards a goal, such as wining a medal at the x-games, and then some freshies make it not possible to even compete in the comp can be very frustrating. This is what happened 2 years ago at x in slopestyle, the course was slow but the snow was the reason the comp was turned into a big trick, I never said otherwise, the snow made the slow course even slower.

So you keep at it working your ass off for the next year and......... oh yeah, last year at the course had speed problems again in perfect weather.
