How? Just because some of us don't agree with how our country is run? Disagreeing with the president, it's the oldest agrument in history. Bush is a pretty bad president, ill give you that, and his stupidity is just outrageous. How about stopping the crisis in Darfur where 400,000 are allready dead and thousands are raped and tortured daily?
 
so let me understand this... you want the US to unilaterlly take care of some global situations where the UN has failed, but not all global situations...

wouldnt going into sudan be illigal and immoral? we would need a unanimous UN resolution on it!

to anyone who has a brain the sudan crisis (which has been going on for a couple years now mind you) shows the impotency of the UN. except, of course, when the US acts against it, in which case said actions are labled illigal and immoral.

I'm so sick of people saying they hate Bush, and probably couldn't name 5 bad things he has done. Seriously, do research, find out why so many people disagree with him. Don't jump on the bandwagon and just dislike him because you have been told by people he is doing stuff for made up reasons.

I could go on all day baby. Listen I am actually a Petroleum engineer I deal with neo conns and republican ass holes every day you know what I have learned. I am not one of them. I know the facts. I watch the news Ive read the books Iv seen the movies on both sides and I can say with out a doubt that Bush is the worst thing to happen to america in recent history.
 
what i am "spewing" is the idea that you have to apply the same set of standards to like situations.

you cant denounce the US acting unilaterally in one case, and then turn around and denounce the US for not acting unilaterally in another.

if you cant see that... well, youre illogical.
 
ill say that its about national interest, as interpreted by whatever party in in power... (which is probably gonna get changed up in a month or so...)

i dont know how much oil were seeing out of iraq right now... so if that was the plan, it doesnt seem like a very good one.

we still are going to get most of our oil from the saudis, probably for a long while. and with the increasing means to get at the sandy oil reserves in alberta, plus the increased exploation in the caspian sea region of russia, the dependancy on the middle east in general may be weakening.

i think that the iraq thing was based mostly on the idea that we could get iran surrounded.

You dont have to be a Bush fan to be a conservative. The administration is headed by retards, and hes pretty much killing your country. I only call it the bush-bashing bandwagon cause everyone does it. And noone ever proposes any solutions.
