Im so sick of people saying they like bush, and probably couldn't name 5 good things he has done. Seriousley, do some research, find out why so many people agree with him. And Bush is not destroying the entire world because if you know anything about how our government works then you would know that anything the pres. does can be checked by congress and the courts. Remember congress approved going into iraq.

1. His presidency has caused an increase in millions of registered voters.

2. Gave back profficient tax cuts that may or may not have helped the economy. It put money in your wallet, or your parents rather because you are probably too young to pay taxes.

3. Passed laws that increases the penalty for convicted corporate criminals.

4. Introduced a higher involvement fees with Ira's. (helping with the problem of diminishing social security)

5. Has substantially tightened education policies and planning for future jobs.

Here's the deals ladies and gents. Right now, Sudan is in a religious war. Muslim and Christian are the two dominant religions. In the north are the Muslim followers. Southern Sudan has many more resources. The Muslim followers want to unite Sudan in the name of Islam. This is because they want their stab at the heavy resources (oil, coal, diamonds, etc.) southern Sudan (Christians) have. The reason why the UN can't step in is because neither side is right in the war. They have tried numerous times to develop treaties, but the Muslims are too determined to have totalitarian control of Sudan. it's very similar to the Rwanda and Somalian situations. This is what seperates them from the Iraq conflict where there is a proclaimed enemy.
 
As I said. We CAN'T stop the crisis. Both sides are equally to blame. We have tried several times to make treaties and so has the UN. The Muslims are too strict in their mindset to control all of Sudan. Right now, it is impossible to stop the conflict from outside source. The only way would be to fund one of the sides, making us look like a bad guy and probably producing many more terrorist attacks. Can't you see, that's what happened in the Middle East. If we intervened, it could cause Africa to be a copy of the Middle East.
 
Actually the Sudanese crisis has been going on ever since the impletation of Islam into the country. Decades upon decades ago.

im not going to get into this..because its NSG and the only place these threads should probably exist is in small cults. but i will speak for many canadians when i say that most of them hate bush and have no clue why. even some tories supporters hate bush and dont know why. not just liberals or ndp idealists.

there's nothing wrong with pointing out that you hate bush and the bush gov't so long as it is justified.

i have a 50/50 split spectrum of emotions when it comes to this subject. im on the fence, so to speak. but i find that its always going to be this way...every leader will have ideals you agree with and ideals you completely shoot down.

OK look, if I called the US of A my home, I wouldn't mind if Barney the dinosaur was president. If my way of life remains the same and I'm free to live my life the way I choose, I'd consider myself lucky and make the most of my opportunities. Unless Barney the dinosaur's decisions had a profound effect on my familys way of life and the opportunities that they are entitled to, I wouldn't be hating on the president.
