I just think it's funny how some people give in to the media's 'Bush bashing' and don't really look at the issues at hand. I'm not saying that Bush is an amazing president, but I don't think that calling him hitler on a banner is really helping things. Democracy gives you a wide array of prodictive and acessible ways to improve your situation, and mudslinging is a cheap shortcut that fucks us all in the end.

^I think you're mixing it up WWI friend. In june 1914 Franz Ferdinand was killed by an anarchist, which ignited the beginning of the war. How Hitler came to power in the '20s and '30s is a combination of plain cunning by playing out his ennemies into each other and also a lot of luck. Don't give him to just credit by calling him hyperintelligent tough. (comparing him to an idiot like Bush doesn't say shit either). Hitler had the terrific gift of giving those marvellous crowd arousing speeches. that's what gave him his popularity in the beginning.

I like the comparison between the Reichstagburning and 9/11 tough. Altough I don't believe in the conspiracy theories around both happenings, they both got exploited extensively by Hitler and Bush respectively to pursue their plans. That's a fact.

to Shaggy: Having to admit he was wrong is not the reason the troops are still there. The troops are still there because they have to be. If they pulled out now iraq would be as bad as it was before we attacked. It would cause a complete failure in what the US was trying to do and make all the deaths totally worthless.
